Without a dongle I see Reaktor 4 being kracked

This is crazy but I can see in months this program easily being hacked without a key..

 

your right, its crazy. with or without a dongle every legit application is doomed for cracking/pirating ... at least we arnt punished for it with the dongle.

 

Everything that is digital is easily copied. That's the way it is.

Next version of Reaktor should be on a PCI card. Maybe with a seperate CPU. Conveniant.
[like the HardSID commodore SID emulation, but 10 times as complex].

Idea? Reaktor 4 can be used to perfect the engine, solve errors etc.

I always thought something like this too..Merging hardware with the soft..Maybe Reaktor 5 Firewire..A Firewire box with multiple output ports for adding on controllers and adding more modules to add cpu..Kinda like Powercore meets Reaktor..This could me mad..

 

Hey guys/gals. There is no way to stop it from beeing cracked. It gets cracked with a dongle as well. (not on mac though, seems like they dont have as good crackers as the pc scene)

Just buy your software and be happy. People using cracks other than for testing software are naughty girls/boys.

 

Well can't I just install this on another Mac?

What makes me not able to just install this on my friends Mac or PC? He does not need a dongle to run it? This is weird..Well like the old days again..I'm now used to dongles..Have one in logic.SX and Reaktor 3 and actually like them.

I just do not see why NI went this route? I can see Caraccho and online hosts stockpiling Reaktor 4 (k)..It does not seem very well protected..One krack app made to enter a code and boom it runs..What version is kracked..This pisses me off in one way but in the other it was stupid of NI to ditch the dongle..Never got by for Mac users..I would love to know the reason is was dumped?

 

4.01 was cracked for PC.

The dongle for 3.x was cracked as well (it took significantly longer though) so thats why they prolly ditched it. Why put your users through the hassle of dongles when they will just be cracked anyway. So in my opinion I applaud NI.

 

i guess it's like any other microcosm

most people are honest, but some steal just like in the "real" world. it seems that most will realize that their small action of buying or stealing is their vote for or against further development.

Why spend a lot of money on copyprotection if it's cracked anyway?

The people who use cracks are mostly not the professionals (i think..).it looks stupid and unprofessional if someone sees a Oxygen startup screen in your hi-end studio..

Without cracks most music software would not have become so popular.
Just like mp3's and cd copying contributes to the popularity of many musicians.
