edit, on closer inspection:
looks like a new interface, not sure about the x1's?

on the traktor side it looks like serato wave form feature, better HID with the CDJ's (i'm just guessing with that one cus of the bit where the time code calibration thing usually is, unless that's a standard thing and i've just missed it lol

and then i'm just guessing standard S4 features

Vid confirms that a new audio interface is on the way. We also see the new and upcoming version of TSP with sample decks.

 

the "new traktor technology" is a new audio interface (WHY?) and an upgrade of TSP to incorporate S4 features (YES!)

 

why a new audio interface? because we need an additional channel to handle the sample decks. at least, that would be my guess...

 

in that case the new interface suggests 4 deck + 2 sample decks instead of the 2/2 we've seen on the S4

 

The sample decks replace C & D, if I'm not mistaken. Seems like you could use the sampling features with the same amount of software.

My thought was like 4 regular decks plus the sample decks (which are all being routed through the same channel). So you need 5 channels total. I realize they're using just two regular decks in the vid but, after all, they're playing together or B2B or something. It's pure speculation and I well might be completely off

 

If you need 4 timecode decks plus 8 sample decks then you'll need additional arms, not just a new soundcard

 

Replacing a traktor 4-deck layout with a 2-deck-2-sample layout is nonsense!
I can still use DECK A+B for regular tracks and load samples/loops in C+D ... There must be something else!

how would u think we would control the sample decks then? if you dont have an s4 i mean? a new mapping for the kontrol x1's? i use a vestax vci-100se and also have to kontrol x1's...hope it can all be done with what i have already..

 

Yes, with X1. The video gives us the answer on how we would control the sample decks.

I hope NI will build functionality around the existing hardware....

 

we know already that it will be Audio 6 DJ and Audio 10 DJ.

what i think (not guaranteed to be true):
Audio 10 DJ: the same 4 Channel inputs but 6 Channel outputs 2 additional outputs for the 2 additional sample decks

whoever owns audio8DJ will be capable of DJing with 2 normal decks and 2 sample decks .....

i hope you understand what i'm talking about.

Conclusion:
The new interfaces are the same chipsets with 2 additional stereo outputs for additional sample-decks in the software. Wether Duo or Pro

 

Of course you'll be able to map the sampler. That's why I've got a Nanokontrol.
