first let me say I've read 85% of the posts in this thread - it's a little tense in here now - sorry if i missed a post where someone else asked an audio 4 routing question already.

mine is pretty specific - i'll try to explain as best as i can:
using an ADJ4, a Kontrol X1 and an external 2 channel mixer

i would like to be able to control my sample decks with the top 4 buttons and knobs of the X1 - this part will be a simple re-mapping in traktor.

then i would hope to send the audio of sample deck C out the same channel as deck A and in to channel 1 of the mixer. same for sample deck D and deck B; they would be sent out of the audio 4 to channel 2. will this routing be possible?

i will admit its not ideal, i would not be able to cue deck A if i had samples playing out live to the crowd on deck C - but it's the best thing i can think of for what i have.

i can't afford an ADJ8 or similar new soundcard and a mixer. if i buy a cheap 4 channel mixer, i won't be able to run audio from each deck to the mixer with only a ADJ4. so i'm just trying to come up with a solution.

another alternative is getting a controller with lots of faders, knobs and then controlling it all internally, but i just don't want more controllers connected sucking CPU. i like a traditional mixer layout

sorry, this post is tooo long - please, anyone with an answer on routing?

Nah. Look at the number series:

    Audio 2 DJ
    Audio 4 DJ
    Audio 8 DJ

For sure, it's an Audio 16 DJ and an Audio 32 DJ!

Yep, makes a lot of sense to me aswell. If you look closely at the screenshots of the teaser video, you could make out that there is something connected at the opposite side of the visible USB connector - The lights seem to be the same too...

    This is getting intresting :)

well i don't think i'm wondering quite the same thing - i know the ADJ4 will be useful still with the new version - i read that already.

i want to know if i can send audio out through the same lines
i already know i could mix internally and send it all out of one master channel

You can still use timecode in traktor's internal mixer and monitor in mono. That will leave you an extra stereo output.

Ahhgh scrap that I'm sleep deprived.

More @10/11Sec (watch the right side closely ;) )
The lights for the visible USB port are the same like the presumably cropped one at the bottom...

Who knows? BTW, since Rane announce their new SL4, I think we will heard more from NI really soon, maybe sooner than expected...
