Yesterday evening I encountered the bug which a few people seem to have:

1.On my ipod touch I choose "Export" a project
2.After the export has completed I connect the ipod touch to my computer and open itunes
3.I go to the "Files" part where I click on the iMaschine2 application logo
4.On the right side I get an overview of exported projects
5.I select a projectfile (for example "Heavy beats 2015 12 09.zip") and choose "Save to..."
6.In the explorer window I choose a location and press Enter

Everything SEEMS to be OK. However, when browsing to that location I noticed that the file wasn't a zip-file and has a file size of 0 bytes.

In other words: the export is corrupt!

The workaround I discovered after trying various things for a few hours on different computers and almost throwing the ipod out of the window:

In itunes in the "Files" section, rather than immediately choosing "Save to..." first RENAME the file.

Example: click the file "Heavy beats 2015 12 09.zip" until you see that you can edit the name. Rename it to "Heavy beats.zip" (at least that is what I did) and THEN choose the "Save to..." function.

Hard to believe but then the files were no longer corrupt!

Hope this helps anyone out until it is fixed.

If you're a Windows user I recommend to update to the latest version of iTunes. This issue should've been resolved awhile back with the latest version of iTunes.

    Hi Nicholas,

I am afraid that is not the case as I am running iTunes 12.3.1 which is the most up-to-date version.

Oh well, I can work with this now but it would be worth checking out to make the process even smoother. For the rest, all is well because creating a the beginnings of a track on the go, then refining it at home on the full hardware is really great :-D

    Hi Nicholas @ NI
The Issue is still available (itunes 12.3.2) the problem seam the Date Time format when the IOS device is set to european time format. If this Time Format contains a ":" in the file name then file can not be stored on windows file system, because this is a illegal character. NI should have some "regex" used to prevent from illegal character.
Before I don't let the device access the Localisation i had a "-" instead in file name.
