Hi all, someone know how to use NI Access on Windows 10 ?

    It does the following:
    - Not starting
    - Or starting sometimes after 3 Minutes
    - If it starts all Updates / Installations failing with Unknown Error ( Yes I tried this, but doesn't work for me: https://support.native-instruments....-Fehlermeldung-Download-Failed-Unknown-error- )
    - Freezes for some Minutes if clicking the "Update" Button

Someone know how to fix that ? I reinstalled it multiple Times, restarted Computer multiple Times. Installed all new GPU Drivers, also with multiple Restarts. Using Win 10 Pro 2004 128GB RAM 256 GB SSD Intel UHD 630 GPU and GeForce RTX 2070 8GB GPU.

Never saw such complicated Software. As User I tought I install it, select the Products I want to install, they get installed, done. But never saw that with NI Access. Using it now for several Years and it never worked as it should. Not sure for what reason this Software exists.

    Thank's a lot !!

    Cheers
    Dirk

I can't help wonder if your OS doesn't have some serious issues. All N.A. basically does is contacting the N.I server, then presents you with an authentication and then allows you to download your stuff. That's it, that's all.

First I'd start checking your anti-virus to see if that somehow interferes.

Hey Shel what does that mean "I can't help wonder if your OS doesn't have some serious issues" ?

"All N.A. basically does is contacting the N.I server, then presents you with an authentication and then allows you to download your stuff. That's it, that's all."

I know the main Function of NI Access but that's not the Question ?!

There is no Anti Virus Software installed.

Then I can't help wonder if your system isn't suffering from some malicious software (malware and the likes) which is now causing issues for other programs.

Because as I mentioned above: N.A. is a very basic program which performs rather basic tasks. And runs perfectly on Windows 10. But it does beg the question: what version of Windows 10 do you use? When in doubt try: Win-R, enter "winver" (no "") and see for yourself.

Do we talk about Malware here ? All other Applications on this System work like they should. Even other Software Install Tools like Softube Central or Arturia Software Center working like a charm. I just wonder why only NI Access doesn't work.

Can't answer that, especially if you only continue to repeat what you already mentioned ("it doesn't work") without giving us any additional and/or requested information which could be useful to try and determine possible causes.

    Could be a Firewall problem.

Somehow it works. If it doesn't start after some Minutes start it again and wait for some Minutes. Redo that until it starts. After ten Minutes approx you are lucky and it started. To install something let it run into the Unexpected Error, go to Downloads Folder (`C:\Users\d<User>\Downloads`) and use the downloaded ZIP / ISO File and install the choosen Product manually. The following Types of Installer work without Unexpected Error: Maschine Expansions, Kontakt Player Expansions. All other Products fail on Installation with NI Access. If one installed the Product manually it still say that it need to get activated. If the NI Access is running and one click the `Activate` Button on the Products UI it doesn't activate the Product. To be able to activate the Product one need to quit NI Access and then click the `Activate` Button on the Product UI again and then it activates the Product as expected. Some Products like Battery 4 and FM8 try to use Service Center which doesn't work anylonger, I guess because NI Access is the replacement for that. To activate Battery 4 and FM8 restart both Standalone Apps for multiple times and make sure that NI Access is quited. Thanks to Paul and Shel Luser !
