I'd like to know if there's any sort of way to send all pads in a group to seperate outputs for mixing?

This is possible, you'll need a separate DAW to send the audio signals to though. You would just need to change the pad's output to an Out Channel rather than the Master, then have tracks in your DAW set up to receive those Output Channels.

Give me a little more info on your set-up so I can try to help more

Make sure that the sound tab has focus. Click the "out" tab underneath. Then click in the output parameter to get a drop down of outputs.

In my case I'm using Presonus Studio One Pro. I understand how to map each pad out manually to a different output on the console of s1,but what I'd like is if I could tell maschines groups to always send the audio out of each output like I mentioned with one click, vs setting up each time I reload a new group/kit.. As thats kind of slow.
my reasoning behind this,is from here on out I'd like to have Maschines outputs mapped in my daw with fx on the outputs.

I'd like to know if Maschine can save all groups or load all groups with the outs sorta like this..
    Pad 1 - output 1
    Pad 2 - output 2
Pad 3 - output 3 and so on..
Setting these up manually everytime I load a new group/drumkit is a pain, so I'm wondering if there's a quicker way that Maschine can handle this..

What happens is I set the outputs up just like i mentioned, but then if I load a new drum kit,the outputs revert back to stereo out, n this is frustrating while wanting to change kits during production or mixing in my daw..

thanks for any tips u guys can think of.

Perhaps theres an option to load a new group, but not change the outputs?

Unfortunately there is no option to lock the pad output assignments when loading a new group.

I would say the only option is to save your kits with the assignments but that still does not even work due to an old bug. If you change the output routing of a pad in a group and save it, it will reload as "none" for the out assignment so you won't be able to hear it.

I got ya b-righteous thanks for checking on that. I think that there needs to be more options like this for advanced end users.

I think you can setup a template, right? Create a template once then you can load it up whenever you get the itch.

Yeah Patrick is right, you can save a project as a "template" that should hold all of your routing settings each time you load it up

The routings won't hold. Each time you load a group it will overwrite the output assignments. You can load sounds without it overwriting but not kits.

Exactly, this is very frustrating to say the least. Makes it very hard to setup a true mixing environment in my daw for Maschine like this. since Maschine doesn't really have a nice dedicated mixer it's kind of hard to get in the right atmosphere for mixing with it..
Unless I bounce down,I'd prefer to keep the vst in use, just in case I want to change samples at any given point.

I know with apps like BPM I can just save the Kit as a bank file and it retains the information regarding the outputs.

    Is there any other options?

Has this been addressed yet? it is a real pain to have to change the outputs every time i load a new kit. No way to save as a template either because that also just gets overwritten by the kit or group loaded.

Maybe it would be possible to send midi control data from the DAW itself? in my case I use ableton live.... any ideas? Maybe set it up in clip view. I would need to know the CC number to send to each pad respectively. That way I just press play and "auto-magically" all the out ports are properly set.

Any help on this matter would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks :)

As far as I know, this type of workflow functionality is not possible yet. The outputs are set up so you can do that in the final stage at mixdown or you can set them up individually each session. Doing templates where output assignments on the group level are easy enough. However, for individual sounds, there is no workflow for output templates because loading groups overrides the output assignment.

Revisiting this thread,I just bought FxPansions Geist,I think I'll get along with this alot better then the current layout of Maschine as Geist allows users to save the preset, such as each pad has it's own sub out. When I drag in a kit I've saved with exact subout settings they remain. Perfect for switching new sounds in.

I definitely hope Akai gets this right with the Ren when it comes out, like Motu and FxPansion have already figured out, this is what an advanced user will need for a better mixing workflow.

I just checked out Geist. Looks great. Especially the part that keeps the out ports where they should be rather than the brutally inefficient "default."

I do hope there that might be a way to use CC information to simply play a clip in ableton (or whatever DAW you choose) to change output ports into the correct values, but I not proficient enough to figure it out, if it is possible at all.

Its too bad they haven't included this ability to save sound outputs in one of the updates thus far. Thanks for some of the replies

This is definitely a serious bug/omission.I hope it will be solved in the next update because, sincerely,I just can't stand anymore this kind of limited workflow. This and the lack of Multi-core support and round robin are the main reasons why I'm thinking about to switch somewhere else.I really liked the concept of Maschine but now it's time to refine this little but precious things.Come on NI,do it for us!
