i use maschine in logic and for the most part use event program changes to arrange my projects because i like the feel of the maschine work environment. What im wondering is what are some of the ways people find easiest to add one off events, say a cymbal crash mid second verse or a hihat progression etc besides creating a whole new scene for that one event.

I havnt currently got a midi send template for logic, but i understand that would be one way, or possibly export the sounds as audio from maschine then paste into logic arrangement and do it that way.

Can anyone recommend? I currently use my other instruments and samplers and add these sorts of things into the logic arranger where i want them but would like to be able to do close to everything from within maschine if i can.

    Thanks,

wherever you stick the one off/one shot it's going to appear in a pattern somewhere, easiest thing is to have a separate pattern elsewhere for it/other 1 shots not be repeated, i usually keep H9-16 for this sort of stuff and H1-8 for things like FX buzz patterns. alternatively if using in logic set up a track to record and just either use a pad or midi keyboard to trigger or place it in as with any sample.

When I dont want to deal with a lot of scenes I drag and drop the audio into Studo One, Im on a pc so I dont have Logic but if you can drag and drop the audio you want into your arranger or render the audio to your hard drive then insert it into logic's arranger..

Drag and drop is not fail proof yet in some cases so you always have the render to audio option..

I wish we could record pattern changes instead of scenes sometimes.
