    hello,

First i have to say that Traktor Dj is a wonderful application but I have a problem
application fails to analyze some music, their bpm is set to 83/98 while they are in reality at 128/132 and it is impossible to adjust the bpm with the tap mode because its very hard to tap exactly the correct bpm.

I must also say that I tried to re-analyze all tracks and now other music which was correct are not good, very strange

Is there a solution to this problem ? because it is very annoying

ps: all my tracks are progressive trance music bought on beatport and are very easy to analyze because not complex.(traktor pro 2 and my pioneer cdj400 have both found the right bpm to all the track)

    Thanking you by advance

Yeah i had the same problem with a DnB track which i knew was 175 bpm but Traktor DJ gave me a bpm of 232 or 116 or 58, and like you say there is no way of changing it, as far i as i can find.

The most annoying thing is that when i started Traktor Pro on my laptop, the sync screwed up the bpm, beatgrid and cue points of the track there as well and i had to go in and work on it again.

Yeah I watched all of the videos before setting it up earlier today. I followed the sync video step by step.

But when I transferred over my tracks and meta data via iTunes and drop box, Traktor DJ still analysed one of my tracks (at least only one that i know of), came up with a really bizare tempo that I couldn't change and then sent that meta data back to Traktor Pro on my laptop.

It wouldn't change when you tried to tap tempo?

Well to be honest, at the time, i didn't try the tap tempo. I was just concerned that Traktor had got the tempo so wrong in the first place.

But mostly i was concerned that it then sent the metadata to mt laptop where i had already set the beatgrids and set cue points, but the Traktor DJ seemed to overwrite it.

Is there a way of making it a one way sync? To stop Traktor DJ overwriting metadata on Traktor Pro?

Not yet. I'm hoping that they separate Import and Export of metadata because I do not want TDJ to write back to my tracks but TDJ requires all tracks to have a beatgrid so any tracks imported without grids will have them applied by TDJ and synced back into Traktor.

I think this is flawed logic because I play a lot of music that does not need a grid and now I have 100s of tracks with pointless grids on.

As I already said in another thread, it would be very useful to fix wrong beatgrids, especially as Traktor DJ for iPad is a preparation-tool. So fixing beatgrids manually, not having to rely on automatic grids is essential.
