    Hi,

I just got my hands on the F1.

I was wondering if it is possible to map the fader bottoms on the F1 to cross fade between two decks in Traktor as well as adjust deck volumes, when you use the F1 in MIDI mode.
This would be nice, as you could actually make a simple dj setup using only the F1, and not necessarily having to bring an additional controller with you.

    Cheers,
    Simon

I totally agree. I think that one could use the f1 controller to control the TRAKTOR software with the MIDI mode and then using the remix decks create an amazing dj set with just a laptop and an F1.

Yes, and I also found the answer. The F1 can be mapped, also for the MIDI mode, under controller management in the preferences. So one for the faders can be used to control the fading between two decks.

Only problem is that the location of a fader or a turn bottom is brought into the MIDI mode when you switch from sample control mode and vice versa. So, e.g., if you turn down the volume of a sample completely and the change to MIDI mode, where the same fader now controls the fading between tracks, the location of the fader will suddenly change in Traktor... This is just something to be aware of.
