Woo-hoo! Looks good and the price is right.

But there aren't enough controls, it only has a few more than the original X-Session, although arranged much better. Same number of buttons, 10. I need more buttons for EQ kill switches etc. Maybe the Pro can be used along with the original X-Session which could be used for effects.

Here is a picture from another forum that shows a little more:

And a machine translation (very bad) of the forum above from German to English:

    Thanks for the link!

Looks very interesting but I agree it needs a few more controls on it to stand alone. Even one more row of rotaries would have been enough.

I love my trusty old X-session though apart from the baggy x-fader...have really got used to it. Hopefully the new version x-fader is a bit more seriously implemented.

Unfortunately at this moment neither M-audio Online Store, nor any of the dealers don't have it (though they already have them on the web pages). Sweetwater.com say they're waiting for the device to be shipped in about a month or so, so far it's only backordered...
P.s: I wish they made jogs...)

at last, someone has made a midi dj controller that looks like a real dj mixer. took a while didn't it? i agree it needs more pots, and more buttons for full T3 usage.

what i want is something which combines the controls and build of the feena controller with the clear dj-mixer style layout of this unit. feena guys, make this happen - i'd rather buy from you than m-audio! ;P

Yup it is very encouraging and I'm sure the first of many. This is exactly why NI should NOT get bogged down with making their own controller. The 3rd party market is diverse enough to cover most peoples sometimes dramatically different ways of using the program. Making their own would be inadvertantly prescribing a moduus operandi unless they made it extremely customisable.

I got an ealry version M-Audio the other week (product specialist and tester).
I had some great fun initially but i had a few visiual issues.
Its not finished off like the Audio Kontrol!
Its rather tacky and seams to have a strange extra terrestial surface coating.
After several hours of working with it my vision was blurred due to intence reflections from the surface or the knobs, the lights in the clubs (of which we dont have many!) just bounced off the material used on the controller!
Some sort of sub atomic substance ive never seen before on any dj controller ive tested so far! Kinda sticky and dull but hard and reflective at the same time!

What happend was i was djin with it in a local club, an ive now lost the vision in both eyes, as the light reflected onto the surface and bounced back at my face like a supanova!

I used the Testdjcontroliccle MK51 last week and was utterly disappointed, so i was lookin forward to something fresh from M-Audio.

Shame, now im reduced to hearing aids and a brail keyboards.

Apparently M-Audio was including the X-Session Pro in a package with the Connectiv/Torq system. Local guy received it a couple of weeks ago and is now reselling.

Possibly that package with the X-S Pro is no longer offered as I don't see it on the M-Audio site.
