X1 BeatJump only 8 bars?

I have an X1 and an S4 and I'm running Traktor Scratch Pro 2.5.1 (probably going to sell the S4 soon now that I'm doing scratch with CDJs).

On the S4, you can set the BeatJump and the LoopMove to be anywhere from 1/4 bar to 32 bars and it will then jump accordingly when you scroll the BeatJump rotary encoder. However, on the X1, the rotary encoder seems to be stuck at 8 bars for BeatJump. If I set the BeatJump amount to 32 bars by clicking on the appropriate deck in Traktor, then hold shift and move the Move rotary encoder on the X1, it immediately switches back to 8 bars. Is this a bug in Scratch 2.5.1 or a limitation of the software just for the X1?

I remember reading about this before. I think you have to go into the settings, and set the desired length of the beat jump. From the way I understood it, you can't set it on the fly on the X1. I'm not very familiar w/ this feature tho, and if someone has a better explanation I'd be interested too.
