X1 Controller quick question

Hi,

Ive been reading all about the new midi controller the X1 for traktor pro/scratch pro but saw a review that said it was for cd/timecode vinyl users.

I use traktor pro, not scratch pro, and i use it on my laptop in a club with their mixer.

Will i be ok to still use the X1? i know it hasnt got some features like crossfader etc but i don't need that stuff as like i said, i mix on the clubs mixer in the dj booth.

Yes Tom the X1 is a perfect controller for Traktor Pro as well as Scratch Pro.

The whole point about using the X1 with DVS is that it has no Mixer section therefore if your mixing externally you would use it the same way as a DVS user.

Also if you are used to DJing without a Jog Wheel the X1 is perfect it has all the controls for transport/FX/loops/browser you need.

Oh I see ok thanks. Is DVS digital vinyl system? I think I will get the x1, maybe 2 because I like to use all 4 decks in traktor pro.

 

Yeah DVS just means controlling Traktor with timecode vinyl.
2 X1s would be a great solution to controlling 4 decks.
This is what ill be doing when mine turn up.

 

Yes me too. I may remap a couple of things maybe if they don't
suit me. I'll have to wait and see
how I go with it.
