    Hi there.

I recently found this map for the X1 and was hoping someone could tell me how to go about installing it.

Basically I want the ability to switch into MIDI mode and use my X1 to adjust the EQ's and Filter so I can mix internally. Then switch back and cue tracks / use effects as per normal.

The map is calle X1 Mixer Mapping 1.0 and is available here:
    http://traktorbible.com/freaks/mappingone.aspx?id=4

Would anyone be able to go through this step by step so that I don't damage anything?

    Thanks in advance!

There's not much that can go seriously wrong as the standard X1 mapping will always be easy to revert to.
I've been mapping the MIDI mode of my X1 to work as a mixer myself but if you're happy with an existing mapping it should be easy enough to load up.

    - First load up Traktor and connect your X1
    - Activate MIDI mode (shift+hotcue)
    - Go to Controller Manager in Preferences
    - Click Add... and Import your downloaded TSI
    - Set the In-Port and Out-Port to 'Traktor Kontrol X1'
    - Close settings, try it out!

Soft takeover however still isn't working correctly and seems to be a very old problem in Traktor that has been ignored.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but what is "soft takeover"?

I'm considering buying an Z1 and X1 but wonder how simple this would be to switch between modes whilst mixing at the same time and maybe just get by with only an X1. Would be cheaper :)
