Thanks for posting your findings here!:D
Whilst this is a great temporary solution, I hope NI manages to perma-fix it in an update soon!

I followed these instructions but imported the tsi settings from my 2.6.1 folder.. i was running mavericks with 2.6.1 and everything was fine.... the 2.6.7 setting messed things up.

So what's the latest here? Are we still having problems with mavericks and the X1?

    I'm currently on 2.6.5

I won't upgrade any further until I see it's all fine.

same issue. I tried the recommended "fixes" above but nothing worked. I have a new macbook pro 10.9.2, traktor 2.6.8. I have a had a few freezes where X1 just stops working. Actually the whole comp is frozen, cant use the mouse, but the track is till playing. When i go into set up wizard i dont even see X1 as an option in the drop down menus. I checked drivers and everything is recent. Please help. Thanks!

    Hi,

Is there someone who can confirm that the Mk1 is now working flawlessly under the latest Mavericks 10.9.2?? So without changing or deleting all settings before it wil finally works.

    Im currently on Lion 10.7.5, Traktor Scratch Pro 2 2.6.8, Audio 10 3.1.0, Controller Editor 1.6.2 and 2 Kontrol X1 Mk1's.
Im still terrified to update to mavericks because of the issues it has with the Mk1.
But i can't read anywhere that the issues are fixed.
So till then im still will be running my current setup which runs perfect without any problems....

If you un-tick the "Import music folder on startup" option it works.
I'm still having the problem of the buttons LEDs, they stay on even if the Mac is in stop or Traktor isn't open. Anyway the X1 is working fine, so in my opinion you can update! Maybe you can make a backup of your system, just to be safe! ;)

Thanks for ur quick response man :)
But reading the last page im still a bit skeptic about upgrading to Mavericks.
Mainly because of all the procedures i have to take before it works..

I will then keep my current setting and wait untill i can upgrade to Mavericks and use traktor just the way it is now.
No unticking and stuff necessary :)

IMHO you're insane if you haven't upgraded to Mavericks — it's a superior OS. The X1 works just fine. Follow the (very simple) instructions above. The issue isn't the OS in any case (why would it be?) — as usual, it's Traktor.

10.9.2 has ironed out several issues from first release, but it's still not perfect for everyone!

Mavericks seems to manage memory better and certainly gives an increase in battery life. I can do a 5 hour gig with my 2013 MacBook Pro Retina 13" running a pair of X1mk2 and Xone DB2 from a passive USB hub completely from battery.

Around the internet the consensus seems to be if you're running Snow Leopard or Lion then you should move up to Mountain Lion or Mavericks due to the number of bug fixes and continued support.

EDIT: what issues might you have with your A&H mixer? The latest drivers have pretty much sorted out the USB2 and USB3 issues with Mavericks. I've been running my DB2 for weeks with them and have had no issues. I can't say the same thing for my CDJ2000NXS with HID for Traktor though ...

Anybody tested the latest Traktor 2.7.0 with Mavericks and Kontrol X1 MK1 and can confirm it works flawless?? :)

*EDIT* well i just installed Yosemite and tested traktor with Kontrol X1 Mk1 and Audio 10 and till now not one problem. Everything works perfectly. Tested it for about 30 minutes. Will test it a little bit more later this week, but so far no problems :) *EDIT*
