I have a simple idea for the eternal conundrum regarding the jog/touch-strip controls. Having experienced both, clearly the jog-wheel is the more natural tool especially for beat-matching. I find the modular X1 mk2 to be the perfect portable controller for 2 decks (and so many touring DJs confirm this). My idea is to put a jobwheel disk under the faceplate (like in a sandwich) with the sides exposed for nudging. With some touch system it can recognize left or right and control the corresponding track. Having 1 jogwheel is better that none, right?

Looks fun, but I think the main reason for a x1 ist the portability...a jogwheel might not be as Handy as using an Encoder or the touchstrip.
    But I do not use jogs...so :D
