    Hello guys,
    last thursday I got my new Traktor Kontrol X1, and I wanted to register it on my NI account. It says, I can find the serialnumber on the backside of the X1, but there isn't any number.

    Please help me

    i got an X1 about a month ago and when i register the serial number, the web site says that the number is invalid. why is this?:S

    You can't register the x1, you can only register software.

    I think you were able to register the ak1 or something like that.

    I used to waste some valuable time trying to register mine.

    You can register it, cause if you do, you'll get a 30$/25€ voucher ;)

    You cannot register the X1. The serial number is just an ID for Traktor.
    WHat voucher do you have..?
    If its a Beatport voucher, you redeem that on the Beatport site.
    Was there a voucher in the box?

    In the box was a fleyer which says, if I register the product (Kontrol X1) on my account, I'll get a 30$/25€-voucher-code via E-Mail.

    Aye. I got one aswell with the x1 purchase. It won't allow you to register the hardware as Karlos said. Decent size for a beermat tho:) have a look at www.native-instruments.com/djvoucher and it does say you should be able to but hey ho.

    Okay, I've written an email to the support, and he has put my Serialnumber in the system, so i can register it...

    Only contact the support ;)

    i have tried to register my x1 too... had the same problems as you guys! So i too have sent an email explaining the situation because that 25 euro voucher will most definately come in handy towards a bag for my x1!

    I emailed the tech suppport guys... Is this the right place to contact?

    i appreciate your help peeps as im new to this forum thing!

    I went through this and eventually got an e-mail stating that due to technical problems the X1 can not be registered by me, but that staff at NI will register internally and send the eVoucher by e-mail. So contact staff with your problem and your X1 serial number and let them take care of it.

    djjc.. i emailed the tech support guys already.. is this who you contacted? its so damn hard to get any kind of response from NI at the moment..... how long did you wait for sfter you sent your email? also, if the tech support is the wrong pace, who should i email?

    I contacted 'Order Support' and was issued a 'Ticket Number' on 11 September to ask about the deal. On about 14 October I got an e-mail asking me to register my X1 again as it didn't show up on my registered products page (only the software I registered was there). I replied to them straight away after finding it impossible to register (serial not valid), and then yesterday got an e-mail stating that this was due to technical problems and that they would register internally and send me the eVoucher. Still waiting for the voucher, but hopefully it will arrive within 48 hours as promised. Hope that helps.

    Sad to say I've heard nothing since my last post. What a joke this is. I give up. It seems the promise of a voucher is just a ploy to encourage us to spend money on products. I'm really quite pissed off by all of this. The X1 I bought no longer works well with the latest Traktor update, making it a useless live tool, and even the stated promos that come with it are a lie. Pathetic customer service and I wont use or recommend this ***** to anyone again.

    Update... after sending a very angry and rather abusive e-mail to NI regarding their dreadful customer service, I got an immediate e-mail back informing me that they had suddenly managed to register my X1 for me. It seems that is the way to get a response. Doesn't change the fact that their customer service is garbage.
