XDJ700 HID Support

They have become super common in bedroom setups everywhere (especially within the DNB community)

If djay pro can do it with nowhere near the user base traktor has surely NI can

Agreed!!! It works with VDJ 8 and I own both that and Traktor Scratch Pro 2 and a pair of these. I love them! Make it happen guys!

Although there is already a thread requesting HID support for the XDJ-1000MK2 where people have requested the same for the XDJ-700, I think a specific thread to request this is appropriate.
I think the XDJ-700 is one of Pioneer's best-selling players, so it would be a win-win situation.
The player is very similar to the first XDJ-1000 that is already supported, so, i think it won't be much more difficult.

 

djay pro added it so surely NI can!

 

Please please implement HID support!

Supported, not everyone can afford the most expensive Pioneer CDJs, and for use as a midi controller they're pretty **** anyway

 

Dear Native Instruments Team
Please give us all an update on where this topic stands.

I can't believe that it is rocket science to include the -700 series when the -1000's have been implemented for some time.
Pioneer would be so smart for sure to use the software and interface between both XDJ's to have 3rd party software seamlessly integrate.

So for your highly skilled programmers it shouldn't be no more than a copy + paste job, plus some software testing.
We will appreciate to beta test nevertheless!

XDJ 700 HID works lovely on rekordbox dj and djay pro, such a shame we are missing it :0(

 

Having digged into those yet.
Are they somewhat comparable onthe feature / usability side?

 

rekordbox dj is spot on to be fair, I love traktor for stems and 4 decks with my D2s, but I love rekordbox dj when mixing traditionally with xdjs - the effects and rmx effects are really good!

djay pro is ok, only use it for the spotify side of things to audition tracks before buying

All this kit works well with my djm 750 mk2

 

I was using the free rekordbox version for tagging and managing my tracks before exporting onto an USB drive, but then playing music directly from USB w/o using the laptop.

Might have to overthink and give rekordbox a shot then...

 

Still can't believe there's no HID support, come on guys!

 

Still waiting, 2.11.3 has added support for other models of CDJ but not xdj700 still....

Hope that's not holding this feature request back as it's currently high up on the # of replies & views in the feature requests section, and each thread had a good amount of . If a moderator can fix this it would be appreciated

 

Are NI employees usually responding to feature requests?
I‘d really like to get the view on why it is such a big thing gonads that kind of support to a xdj when it’s bigger brother (and I am assuming, from software part very equal) has the feature built?
