My crossfader went a bit mental on me including the xf curve knob. I have reset and recalibrate everything which has stopped the sound bleeding but now the gap before cut off is much bigger.

As in when xf curve knob is set for straight curve (all the way to the right |_|) the amount of movement to engage or cut other deck is now almost 1cm when before it was about 1mm....literally just past the white line.

Its making crab moves on crossfader almost imposable. Same massive gap on both sides.

Anybody else had this problem or any ideas what to try next?

1cm sounds dull when the fader is set to sharp. If you have cannned air blow out the fader and reset the power on your Z2. If that doesn't work talk to NI support and make a video and they will clear it up for you. You can also try hardware calibrating it but it's not for the faint of heart.

Yea my Z2 did the same thing on me yesterday. It's depressing! When I have the crossfader pinned to the right playing Deck-B.
I can hear Deck-A bleeding through. When I turn the XF Curve knob, it's acting like a friggin volume knob, sucks! Especially after upgrading to El Capitan so I could run Traktor 2.10. Which has been much more stable for me than the previous version. No more pitch spikes or audio artifacts.

Think I'm going to record a new video tomorrow and create a ticket with N.I.

Try blowing out your fader with canned air and recalibrating.

You know what's up! On Sunday I blew air again into the cross fader and below straight at the knob for the curve adjustment. It's been fine since!

Meant to update my post. Thought I was done for

Totally agree @Irv_Tf. Also having an NS72 I've been looking at Serato mixers just so I could stick with one software.

Possibly the S9, but they're all so expensive!

I switched software from SL to TSP. It was too annoying to switch for me to go back. I'm waiting to see how that RekordBox thing plays.

I just noticed today I can now run lowest latency buffer on my Z2. Before TSP 2.10 and Mac OS X 10.10.x the lowest buffer I was able to run 384.

Yea it's a pain in the ass. I have tracks marked up in Traktor because I use my 1200s more than the NS7, and can only transfer cue points in the opposite direction. Traktor cues unable to import into Serato.

But it's final at this point, my Z2 crossfader is toast. I've done everything outside of opening it up and cleaning out the inside. It's weird, w/ the crossfader pinned on Deck B, I can still hear deck A of course. Strange part is if I turn the XF Curve know, the bleed fades up and down like it's a volume knob. Not sure what to make of that...

purposely calibrate it wrong: Meaning when it ask you to move the fader all the way right for deck B fall just shy of it. See it helps.

Dude it actually worked! Didn't have much time and only tested for a few minutes, but I had to Curve set to sharp as usual and the mixer was actually working properly. Good looks!

One of my Z2's have seen so much use I've actually had to solder new buttons onto it.

For real? You mean the main button contact point I would assume? That's the real deal, I need to learn to solder.

Put it through the paces yesterday and even with the recalibrate it's still glitchy. But I also tried re-calibrating even closer to the edge, so maybe that's why. But either way, between that and the fact I already convinced my wife i'm buying a new one, I'm S9 bound! Really sucks the NS7ii isn't compatible w/ Traktor but I'm tired of using 2 DVS softwares.

Yeah after a lot of presses my cue button started to fail. I just soldered a new one in. It wasn't easy tho.

That DJM-S9 looks super official. I can't be mad at anyone for picking that over a Z2. I might be switching to an S9 as well if Traktor doesn't crank out TSP3 soon.

I actually have a spare mini innofader I could let you try if you were local but, I doubt you and your mixer will probably not make it down to NYC anytime soon.

Dude a spare innoffader would be awesome! But yea not heading to NYC anytime soon that I know about.

Although I'm not that far, about 45 min south of Boston. And yea the S9 looks sick. Originally was going to get the 57 mark 2, but once I saw the S9 I was sold. Have you seen the Mixars Duo yet? Basically a Z2 rip for Serato

It's an early revision of the Mini innofader so they aren't as good as they later ones. I just bought it to have as backup since I haven't used it can't vouch for it.

The Mixars DUO looks like it might even be made in the same factory as a Z2. Just too much in common. Besides the extra curve adjustments the Z2 still looks better to me. Any mixer I buy from here on out should have 2 USB connections like the 62, 57mk2, S9. It's time all mixers just made that standard.

Yea looks like a nice mixer, hit up their team to find out a date of launch but they never replied. And I already bought the Pioneer S9, which is sick btw! But there are some things I miss about my Z2, like the 2 extra USB connections! The S9 has 2 but one is used by the laptop, and they're both USB - B.

S9 is definitely a bad@ss mixer. Can't go wrong with 2 USB for switching DJ's and all them hardware effects. There is a technical reason for not putting a usb hub a mixer with 2 USB's. It could be a problem when switching users. One thing I'd like to see on other mixers is the loop size display. It's great to not have to look at the laptop to set a loop.

Damn shame to see another TSP user switch but, I totally get it. You never know there might be TSP support for the S9 one day.
