    Hey guys,

I wanted to share my mapping of the xone 1D which is compatible with versions > 1.2.2.

You can download the tsi here

The purpose of this mapping is to accompany a mixer or a midi controller which emulates much of the functionality of a mixer. Personally I flip between a uc-33 that's setup for 4 deck mixing along with the filters/key for each deck and a xone 42.

    Here's how it's setup:

    I'm using two modifiers, Mod1, Mod2

-Mod1 is mapped to the button on the encoder next(upper left corner) of the jog wheel.
-Mod2 is mapped to the button on the small black button found just up of Mod1

Let's start from the top and work our way down.

From left to right, pushing down on the button will turn on fx 1-4 respectfully for the deck which is in focus. Turning those encoders will adjust the 3rd Param setting in advanced mode and 3rd fx amount in chained mode for fx 1-4, from left to right.

Using Mod1 with the top encoder buttons will change the fx selected in advanced/3rd fx select in chained mode for fx 1-4, from left to right.

Using Mod2 with the top encoder buttons will turn Looping, Filter, Key, and the right most is blank.

The next two rows are simply the amount/param amount for param/amount for fx2 and fx1. If any of your fx are in chained mode, using Mod1 with these knobs will change the fx selected in fx 2 and fx 1.

The faders are the dry/wet mix for each fx. If the dry/wet is greater than 0, the fx unit gets turned on automatically.

The top row of black buttons are used to turn on the fx buttons for each unit. Without using a mod button, it will turn on param/fx button 1(typically the reset button). With Mod 1 it will turn on param/fx 2 and with Mod2 it will turn on param/fx 3.

The following row of black buttons is simply for juggling back and forth. Left to right we can move back 8 beat, move 8 beats forward, and forward 16 beats. The final button in the row is used to toggle sync on/off for the deck in focus.

The final row is for cue points and Mod2. Using Mod1 and Mod2, you can use the first 3 buttons(L-R) and use cue point 3-4-5 with Mod1 and 6-7-8 with Mod2. Using the leftmost buttons will move the beatgrid left or right if there's a beatgrid on the focused deck.

The jog wheel is used to scroll through tracks in the browser. I use the encoder next to it to select through my favourites list. Using Mod1 with the jog wheel you can scroll through the tracks that's currently in focus. The jog wheel had 4 position on the jog wheel which can be used as buttons: up, down, left, right. I use these buttons to load the selected track into a deck. Up for deck A, down for Deck B, right for Deck C and left for Deck D.

The bottom four buttons are used to focus on each deck, L-R, A-D. Using Mod1 and the leftmost button starts/stops my tracks. I also have it toggle sync at the same time. The next button to the right use with Mod 1 to create a cueplay point. The righmost buttons are used along with Mod1 to increase and decrease the master tempo. The right most button with Mod2 starts/stops recording.

As you can see there's still lots of room for improvements and would love to hear what/how people expand the functionality of this mapping.

Much thanks to Ryan0751 for his xone 1d mapping. I started with his and customized it to my liking and hope it helps someone else.

    happy dj'ing!

    this sounds very cool !

i can see some good points. it`s funny to see how different pepole work different with the same setup/software.
i had mine from the assistant, dl and customized to my liking,
then, after the 1.2 update, i remapped several things to suite the newly added 2FX-Slots.

the way i prefer to work is not working with deck focus,
i want almost everything to be mapped 4 times, so i don`t have to change focus,
before doing something. but that`s just my needs.
i don`t concentrate on one deck to play with loops or fx.
when playing, i want to be able to change loop-settings, FX-settings and such,
for each of the playing decks, - when prelistening, i can still change some of these things on the playing decks as well as on the one i`m prelistening.

great work, to describe all that.
if someone just decides to buy an 1d, here`s a good starting point.

    cheers

    Good job there dude.

Can I ask - How did you manage to do the bit I quoted above? Because when I have tried to do this I can only get the FX unit to switch on when the fader has reached 50%. I would like it to trigger the unit 'on' as soon as it has moved off the bottom.

    Cheers

I change the Type of Controller to a button rather than a fader/knob and have the Interactive Mode set to hold.

I updated the mapping a bit.

Fixed a bug where fx param 3 was interfering with the loop size of deck 3(sigh) and improved the encoder sensitivity for better performance.

PS I'm also working on an overlay to better explain how this all works :)
