Xone 2D and Traktor Scratch Pro

I hope I'm in the correct forum here and hope not to ask a silly set of questions. That being said, I've gotten my hands on the Xone 2D and Traktor Scratch Pro using a MacBook Pro. I've done the initial set up but are having the following issues:

1) External output hides my crossfader
2) Not sure if I need a different receiver I am only able to hear Deck A (channels 1 and two)

The initial instructions of set-up seem fairly easy and fool proof but I'm missing something. All in all, I'm trying to successfully set up the Xone 2D with Traktor Scratch Pro. Any help or advice is appreciated.

 

External mode is in order to use an external mixer, you still want to use traktors mixer and therefore need to use internal

this will fix both your problems

 

If you are truly using scratch, I have to ask if the scratch is working for you on the 2D's soundcard alone and without another NI soundcard like a Audio 8 DJ?

(a while ago people were having issues with this)

 

if you are using tsp 1.2.4 you can use any audio interface and get timecode support.

otherwise the 2D is not certified for timecode support, even though it's perfectly capable of it (using the same audio interface as the 4d.)

and to echo frace, it sounds like you should be operating in internal mode unless you have an external mixer that you want to use it with.

 

Thanks for all of the replies. After playing around with it a little more and taking some of the advice here, I am happy to say my Xone 2D performs beautifully...did a 5 hour set last saturday with no problems. Thanks again! Problem solved.

 

What did you end up doing & using to make it work?
Were you able to use the 2D as the soundcard by using the older version of TSP 1.2.4 or did you fix _____, ______, and ...._____(?) to make it work?

 

I used Xone 2D as sound card, used internal mixer of Traktor Scratch configured Xone as a controller....

 

OK, what version of TSP did you use?

 

Tsp = 1.2.1
