Xone DB4 Scratch Certification - NI please reconsider!

Ok, thanks. Hope this gets resolved soon since I too have a Retina Macbook. The DB2 is on transit and I will only be able to give it a go in a month from now. I still have the A10 so probably not a huge problem.

I am still grumpy about the XoneX being discontinued shortly after I dropped a grand on it, and hope there won't be similar issues with the DB2.

My take is that it would be nice but obviously not going to happen. NI have already been quite generous with the Advanced HID, Pioneer have the upper hand on the certification, but A & H can and will live without it. It all seems pretty logical from a business perspective, all three of them are direct competitors after all, even though it is nice when they do work together. I think NI want to concentrate on their own hardware products, and pioneer seem to be working with serato more these days which would suggest going forward they to will have less affiliation with NI.

Although I do find it weird that this thread is buried within the DJ Controllers section when it's certainly more suited to the General or Sound Card sections.

 

Yes please, both mixer are fantastic. I 100% support this post. Son anyone to do anything as soon as possible...

 

Officially NOPE but un-officially, a lot of user-developed solutions have happened outside of Native's control.

 

Is there anything else except fooling win that we use NI card hack available now? - Well they probably going to delet it anyways....

 

So we have Serato compatibility now but not Traktor... how disappointing. Good news is that I already sold all my NI stuff and probably going to switch to Serato thanks to NI ignorance regarding A&H users. Besides I am tired of waiting for Traktor 3 and Good knows what.

I have Serato and have been testing the Beta with the DB4. I think that once they release the Club Kit, this will be the most viable option for DB/K Series users. IMHO, it would be nice if Traktor was an option but there's still no logical reason why NI didn't consider these same series of A&H products for their DJ software but the business plan and window of opportunity has closed. Traktor support is now a lost cause.
Serato is making headway on allowing multiple 3rd Party mixers and options. I think NI's handling of this issue lasted too long and simply will turn people away. Traktor is still a leading product but no one likes being a part of a big mess.

 

Yep. I am definitely trying Serato now. Recently I checked Mixvibes and it's really promising alternative as well. Balanced and useful effects, simple and blazing fast, plus takes video at the same time. Anyways. I am simply disappointed for too long with NI and I need a change.
