Well, mine went back to A&H again. I sent it in for repair back in October and got it back with the issue (fuzz interference on the Master XLR out) but thought it was hopeless and have been ignoring it for a long long time until a friend said "it might be a real issue let them know it wasn't fixed". It was a pride thing, I had found a work around, have been one of their biggest advocates (still are) but don't always know when to demand better. I contacted them this week and A&H was nice enough to accept it for repair even though mine is beyond the normal 1 year warranty period. I paid for shipping and they'll do the work but who knows what will happen in the end. I'm without a mixer for a bit but if this 2nd try at fixing it turns out really positive, I've got hope. If it was defective, I only hope A&H will replace it but that's probably too optimistic.

I am getting quite angry about my DB4. I had to send it in because the FX1 button suddenly did not function anymore. Funny, because the mixer is only in use since a few months and I only use in the studio. Absolutly no abuse!
The mixer came back this week. The button works again but now the cueing is out of order. The cueing does not work on any channel!
I have to send it back again. This is really annoying!

As I sold my DJM 900 I do not have a spare mixer for the time it is in repair.
And, maybe when it comes back next time the cueing works again but the line faders are out of order...

    Hello together,

I am currently facing a problem with the midi sync function.
My set up looks like follows:
    - Xone DB4
    - Ableton Live 9
    - Newest version of Traktor

I want to set/change the BPM range in my DB4 and want to use this mixer as master.
It works perfectly with Ableton. I set the midi clock to external and I receive the signal from the DB4.
The problem is Traktor. I have created an Generic MIDI device and set the in/out port to DB4 MIDI. Afterwards I have set the "Clock Master" in Traktor to "Ext" but I am still not getting the signal.

Am I doing something wrong or did I miss something?

Can you setup the traktor preview player through DB4 headphones? (without loading track in deck and using CUE to preview?)
    thanks

Yes, but you'll need another (external) soundcard for this. Of course you could also use the headphone output of your laptop, but 3,5mm jack is not that stable and robust for a mobile setup.
I route my preview player to the mic section in the upper left corner of the DB4.
Is this an option for you?

so there is no internal routing possible- DB4 headphone outputs?
you doing computer 3.5 out into mic in with a cable then can you route that signal into headphones cue on the DB4?

The DB4 has only 4 digital inputs. if you can spare one of your decks then you can make do with internal routing only. On my Mac it is very easy to merge two soundcards and use them as one. So I merged the DB4 sound card and a pretty cheap external soundcard with outputs only. I chose one of these outputs for the preview player in Traktor and connected it with the RCA mic input on the DB4. Then I switched the mic section to this input and turned the level knob to 0, so the signal is not mixed into the rest. When turning on the DB4 I have to press the CUE button of the mic session.

so it could also work with the mac headphone out to RCA mic DB4 input?

Yes, but the headphone out is quite fragile for mobile use. You still have to merge the built-in audio device of your mac with the audio device of your DB4.

Late reply, but I have now the db4 with me, and trying to merge the db4 with the external output, but I can't see the db4 when try to create an aggregate. Is it what you do? Also where do you set the preview outputs in traktor? is it monitor output? thanks
