Xone DX

Goonzy, does this only allow for backspin or can you do a baby scratch? Been considering the DX and not having touch sensitve jogs concerns me - but looks like you've found a workaround?

 

actually, it justs allow backspinning.. As I'm not scratching at all (but I like sometimes a good old backspin after a good post break rush )

 

^ I hear ya, Im a fan of backspins as well....

just kinda sucks there are some great controllers for scratching (VCI300, NS7) with itch - but nothing to really use with Traktor. Hopefully these will get supported soon. Hey, your solution for a backspin is more than there was. props!

I have a question ... happy owner of a Xone: DX, I also wanted to use Serato ITCH not (too bad but good software interface difficult to read: ()

So I opted for Traktor Pro 1.2.6 that I bought and installed without trouble on my computer ...

Level mapping NI has yet suggested anything of "official" so I picked the one proposed by the site www.Traktorbible.com ...

So far so good ... So I set up this mapping without any worries functions are ok, except that one problem remains: when I mix and I touch or touches the crossfadeur (though disabled in the config Traktor as recommended) it like I do 'acting on one of two jog wheels which disrupts reading of tracks ...

Is it me who would harm the disabled crossfadeur? or was it simply that it is mapped to another function like a two jog wheels?

Is there something has changed in the mapping?

If anyone has had to issue?

J'ai une question ... heureux acquéreur d'un Xone: DX , j'ai souhaité également ne pas utiliser Serato ITCH ( dommage bon logiciel mais interface peu lisible )

J'ai donc opté pour Traktor Pro 1.2.6 que j'ai achété et installé sans soucis sur mon ordi ...

Niveau mapping NI n'ayant encore rien proposé "d'officiel" j'ai donc récupéré celui proposé par le site www.Traktorbible.com ...

Jusque la tout va bien ... j'ai donc mis en place ce mapping sans soucis toute les fonctions étant ok , sauf qu un problème persiste : quand je mix et que je touche ou éffleur le crossfadeur ( pourtant désactivé dans la config de Traktor comme conseillé ) cela fais comme si j'agissait sur un des 2 jog-wheels ce qui perturbe la bonne lecture des tracks ...

Est ce moi qui aurait mal désactivé le crossfadeur ? ou étais ce simplement qu'il est mappé sur une autre fonction genre un des 2 jog-wheels ?

Y a t il quelque chose a modifier dans le mapping ?

Si quelqu'un a eut se problème ?

As far as an 'Official mapping goes, the Traktor Bible one is as near as you will get. Its not NIs but its made buy Rainer and it is probably the best available

As Rainer said, you can find several mappings on http://www.traktorfreaks.com/en/dx.aspx.

the "Source" ones are Rainer's and Mixarchitekt ones.. some of us also made some tweaks to their taste.

 

Yeah a couple of people have experienced this problem with the crossfader including myself. I looked through the mapping to see if there were anything obvious but couldn't find anything.

I'm now using Tim's mapping (mix architekt) and I don't get this problem anymore. I've even mapped the crossfader in traktor to the headphone mix section and it works perfect.

 

Dude, that is effing brilliant! Either that or a dry/wet on one of the effects, ala the Ecler EVO5...

Micarchitekt's mapping is really as close as possible to the serigraphied commands on the DX... for the rest, a bit of tape and a good marker will do until you know the positions by heart

 

problem loading the Traktor Bible tsi..

I was reading step by step instructions from the TB web site on how to load the files for this TSI. I did everything I think correctly, but when I load the xonedx_v1.tsi, I do not see any modifiers settings. I also do not get any choices for fx, browser, etc..
I updated Traktor to the latest, so would this interfere. What am I doing wrong?

There's omething wrng in your tsi import.. which one did you download? and which file did you import in Traktor?

Think my TS is not the correct version after all. I am downloading now the 1.2.6 release now
update now works..
now which version is best? TRaktor Bible or Mix Architeks?

Now I like MixArch's version..LED's work and seems logical.
Thing I do not understand is why the fx are prefader and not post?
If I have say a delay on and press stop on the deck , the delay works, but if I say slam the fader down the fx delay stops with the fader..Anyway to fix this..
Also wish there was a layout like ABCD ..like Itch has.

 

Well it's time for you to get your hand into tweaking to have exactly what you want... you'll never get a customa made tsi for you from anyone else than you...

@zilch - you can run tt/cdjs through it like a mixer provided you are already running a host application with the inputs routed and midi controls mapped accordingly.

@syne101 - traktor scratch certification is not a requirement for using the through function of the software mixer. it's available if you have an input on your audio device.

you can test it out on your macbook by selecting the internal soundcard on the audio setup, then choose "input in 0" and "input in 1" under input routing for deck a.

back on the traktor deck you click on the A and select "audio through". run some signal and you'll see the mixer controls work on the audio.

 

hi Hestitant, using DX with traktorbible mapping and got the same issue here. Did you get it solved?

 

Yeah I changed mappings and now use mix archikets and the problem solved. I have also mapped the crossfader to specific effect which is good.
