Xone DX

Anyone know if the DX can use it's turntable inputs to play normal records with Traktor's eq's? I know with Itch, one holds down Shift and press on the cue, and the input changes to vinyl mode.

yes, traktor becomes the full software mixer for all that passes through. gain, eq, fx, etc. are all handled there.

and that quote above from a while ago was about doing exactly this; it wasn't meant to be in reference to timecode.

I'm trying to map my mixer section to now route external audio sources through (like a normal mixer).

what button did you guys have mapped for this?

I got mine from AGI Pro DJ a while ago. I'm sure they have another batch in by now. Just give them a call, they are really nice on the phone.

On another note, I'm such a noob when it comes to MIDI mapping. I tried mapping the crossfader to the cue/mix volume knob but couldn't do it through the "learn" function. Is this even possible to explain in writing?

Also, is it possible to map BOTH FX wet/dry knobs to the crossfader so you can trigger both simultaneously if I'm using two FX banks in advanced mode?

 

anyone know why the TSI files do not match the mappings from my xone dx?

im using 1.2.5 and using the usb midi connection

after I load the TSI none of the mappings match the buttons etc on my DX
so I can not control traktor at all with the DX after I have loaded the TSI

Both my in & out ports are set to XONEX MIDI

strange... it should be working by itself.. are you on Mac or PC... and did you set the midi in/out yourself or kept the ones from the .tsi?

 

Using a PC

When I imported the TSI the in /out came up as N/A XONE DX
So I used the dropdown and selected XONE DX

EDIT : all good, just deleted the firmware and reinstalled it & now it has picked up the decks

Everything is work fine now except the headphones. I am using hd 25's and i am only getting sound from 1 cup. Then shortly after the sound just gets lower and you cant hear the audio through.

Is this a problem, or is there something I need to change to make stereo come through my headphones?

I tried both headphone jacks but I still get the same problem. Not sure if its the headphones, but they do work in other units I have fine

 

Other question around.. has anyone used the Audio inputs with the Audio thru in Traktor pro.. I'm having a strange behaviour (input gain changing with the audio intensity) and I don't remember having this with my previous audio interface.

---- FIXED ---- Found out that the device connected to the audio in was sending midi messages which interfered with my controls.

 

FYI, A&H released a .TSI file for the DX for Traktor users. It's on their forums...

I am having the same issue. I have been beta testing ITCH 1.7 with a new firmware. I have rolled back to the 1_09 firmware and none of the mappings (even the ones from A&H) do not seem to work.
I have followed the instructions from the A&H site to the letter. Very strange. IS your DX stll recognised as USB device and if yes, is it with the same "identifier"? otherwise you have to change it in Traktor's In/Out.

 

Sorry, the issue I have is the decks will not respond. I have used all the mappers I can find. I have rolled between firmwares twice. I get no audio and I get no LED/response between software and knobs/buttons.

I had the navigation and mixer knobs working. But now they dont. I double check the settings A&H say to set after each time I import one of their mappers.

When I was using ITCH 1.6 and firmware 1_09 Traktor worked great with the DX with Mix Architect's mapper. I have been testing ITCH 1.7 and latest firmware for the beta, and even when I roll back to the old firmware, I still get the same issue.

okay, i flippped back to mixarchitect's mapper and it works fine. I go to one of the A&H mappers and nothing responds again. Very strange. I guess Ill email their support. Been great with ITCH, esp the new 1.7 version. However its always great to have options.

 

Did you both go back to 1.09 DX firmware?
I am in the same boat as you both. Beta testing 1.7 and having fun with Traktor, but
seems the new firmware makes problems with this TSI.

Please dont talk about Beta Test versions on other threads or forums then the one Serato told you too.

For my part with the lastest firmware the mapper works perfectly. Somethign your not doing correctly on your end.
