XOX Mode Features?

    Hi All,

    I decided to take the plunge and order a Maschine mkII. I'm really hoping this turns out to be an improvement over my existing Battery/Cubase/Korg nanoPAD drum programming setup. This setup works well enough for real time input. However, the Drum Editor in Cubase is a little weak. B most importantly, there isn't an easy way to step enter notes via the nanoPAD (using an 808-style grid).

    Along these lines, I'm wondering how sophisticated Maschine's "XOX" mode is. For instance, does XOS mode support different accent levels? Are accents global across all sounds in a pattern or can they be enabled per sound? Is there a way to combine the "16 velocity levels" feature with XOX/step input (to assign one of 16 velocity values per step)? Can you write automation values per step using the hardware controller?

    I guess I'll find out soon enough. But I'm hoping the step entry features of Maschine are "best in class." Please reassure me. :)

    Yeah. You can hold your finger on a step and adjust ANY parameter. Kind of like the Elektron boxes.

    Also you can write automation afterwards.
