During installation of Kore's driver, XP gave me a pop-up saying that it is unsafe to install the driver.

Well i ignored it and carryed on with the installation. Hope nothing happends to my 460GB lifetime worth of samples, programs and other important files.

Well ,it seems like too many people around here just feel the need to give Kore a bad name instead of helping eachother out with tips or suggestions.
If you're so worried about your precious files ...ever thought of doing a Backup ,i'm sure that the cost won't bother you for a lifetime of important files and programs?

This pop warning is quite common for MANY XP drivers in the audio world. I get this warning when installing drivers from RME and emagic too. Not a big deal, IMHO. If Kore was wiping out systems, you'd certainly be reading about it here.

Also, please tell me you are backing up your data. By not keeping copies of your data it is not a matter of IF you'll lose your data, but WHEN.

    ohh thats alright then.

you know what, i kind of have, but only on CD-ROMs. I might a 300GB hard drive and start backing-up my stuff.

I think itll be a good idea if i put my phone on memorize each month to remind me to back-up my stuff to my external hard drive.

I'd recommend it. I picked up a Seagate 400GB external drive a few months back and it is a godsend. It came with back up software that can be set to run periodically or you can activate a back up at the push of a button.

Just so you know this pop up message is just telling you that the driver is not signed by Microsoft and so Microsoft can't take responsibility if it cause problems with your computer. this is normal and as long as you are installing it from the Kore Cd I wouldn't worry.

Kore has issues but from the decription you gave this is a windows feature and not a bug in Kore.

I have problems with my Kore so now I feel justified in complaining when I get more issues ;-)

Why would we want to give such a shoddy unfinished piece of kit a bad name?

I recently purchased KORE & KOMPLETE and I can't complain. I haven't experienced any issues with XP YET .
