I've hookup my midi keyboard Yamaha DX7 to B4 II with Edirol UM1 interface but don't work! No sound.
This connections work with other piano software (egs. Pianoteq).
Where is the trouble? This keyboard is unable to play B4 II?
    Someone has suggestion?
    Thanks.

Did you go into the B4II midi settings? Click on File -> Audio/Midi Settings then the MIDI tab. Make sure your Edirol interface is turned on.

Settings are OK. Eudirol intreface is turned On (in/on - out/on).
    Other settings are:
    SOUND CARD
    CoreAudio - 44100 Built-in Ouput
    ROUTING
Outputs: Master Left Built-in Ouput Out1
    Master Right Built-in Ouput Out1
Inputs: Left Inputs - not connected -
    MIDI
Input intreface Edirol UM-1 UM - on
Output intreface Edirol UM-1 UM - on

B4 plays whit Computer Keyboard but nothing with Yamaha Keyboard.
I think Systems midi settings are OK, DX7 play with Pianoteq software.
The trouble are B4 settings MIDI CHANNEL, CONTROLLER OPTION or CONTROLLER ASSIGNMENT? I don't know. I'm sad.

In the setup page for the B4 there are midi channel assignements. For example, 1 for upper manual, 2 for lower, and 3 for pedals. Try changing that 1 for the upper manual to 2, then 3 and all the way to 16 and trying each one out. It could be that your DX7 is transmitting on a channel that the B4 is ignoring.

OR: install MidiOx, http://www.midiox.com/, which has a built-in MIDI monitor to see which MIDI channel the DX7 uses ...
