Hi, I understand that FM7 reads dx7 presets. Is this correct? If so, does that mean that with 8 instances one can recreate those kick-ass electric piano presets from the Yamaha tx816? If so, sign me up!

Never had a TX816 and I don't know that particular Sound but import of DX Presets and multible Instances, depending on your host software, are possible...

    Yu are correct, sir

Yes if your computer cam handle it...with v-stack, rtplayer pro, chainer etc...you could use the load sysex function to access legacy files. Then your elation will disipate and you weill have to get down to business with a single instance with filters, distortion, and feeeeeeeeedbaaaaaack. :)

I have sy77 and FM7 can do many of the the same tricks, and if not still something to wow the listner. Hick. ;)

But you have no global controllers for a singlepatch.

Dude, if you knowall that old stuff, fm7 will make you so happy because it does all that and SO MUCH MORE. NI is the **** and yami let them fo this for including dx200 prsets. Whoop di doo. Check OUT FM7 volume 2!!!!!!
