    1. Saving Mute States in a pattern
    2. Direct Disk Sample Browsing (no need to import samples)
    3. Group Mutes also as Midi Mute (instead of audio mute)
    4. Line Tool for Drawing Automation
    5. Note length Snap To Grid (no need to adjust the length with your mouse)
    6. Note Step Adjust with Rotary and Note numers on screen (adjusting the pitch Korg Electribes Style -> especially with the 1.6 update in mind)
    7.Time Stretch
    8. Ability to hear the sample when you press the NEXT or BACK buttons (without having to play a pad
    9. Cutting the previous sample when you're listening to the next in row (now it gets really messy when all long samples are just layered when you preview them)

10 (!). It should be possible in some sort of way to load new projects in the background without stopping the audio and making proper transitions between them. Hey I for all I care I would be happy if it was possible to quickly make a looped sample of the audio of the ending project by pressing the snap button (with different bars choices of course -> 1-4-8-16), that keeps looping while the new project loads until you hit the snap button again. This is essential for doing proper live sets.

    +1 / +10 ;-)

I read somewhere that Kontakt(?) uses a background loading system whereby you can preview a sound without having to load it up fully (but when you commit to loading it it loads right away). The most annoying thing about Maschine (and the biggest killer for live performance) is the 'dead air' when any sort of anything of any size is loaded. I'd like some kind of system where the new audio does not come on line until it is fully loaded and the Maschine is not 'locked' during loading.

Some possible cool ways this could work:

    1. If I could load a set/project in the background, when it is ready to go (ie when the data has loaded) I could press a button to drop in the new set and stop the old set

    2. The ability to have 2 or more sets loaded at the same time, using some sort of button combination with the arrows to change which set is currently controllable on the hardware.

    3. Or alternatively to (3) some sort of 'mix mode' where you can select a new set to load (while the current one is still playing), but before you load it you can also preview each of that set's scenes as flattened loops. So you get an overview of the new set, you can drop in the flattened chorus scene while the rest of the set is background loading, then you can hit a button to switch to the new set, 'unload' the old set and start switching scenes or whatever. Having access to the level of the flattened scene would also be useful.

Maybe (3) could work best with 1, with the flattened scenes basically loaded as sounds, with access to fx etc during the transition.

    Thoughts?

    Cheers,
    Dan

    Hmmm some nice thinking!

Fact is that they really need to find something to blend in new Maschine sets without stopping the audio. If they make that happen (together with the rest of my top 10), Maschine will become my ultimate live-tool :)
