Hi I'm in the middle of reinstalling everything from scratch on a fresh copy of OSX.
I got stuck once I opened maschine, prompting for me to download the Native Brower Preview Library via Native Access. The problem is
there is no Native Brower Preview Library in Native Access. Is it under a different name? I emailed NI support two days ago without a reply.
it's holding me back since I can't pass go. Also , Since I have all my NI Libs on an external HD, How do I go about downloaded the applications only discarding all library's since I already have them installed.

You should be able to go pass the message. It’s just an information so you click “later” or something and you are ready to go.
As for previews. You should receive an email from NI with serial number. Pass it in Native Access and download for Previews will appear.

Are they still rolling out the previews or should I have received the serial by now?

You should be able to click "Later" like others have mentioned.

Discard the library? Your libraries are on an external HD and are installed on the fresh system? Are you sure? Note that you cant just scan with Maschine and expect it to recognize the libraries if they are not fully installed. If you own Komplete the hard part is libraries since they are huge, there's a trick to avoid re-downloading it. If you need it read this post.
If you don't own Komplete just run Native Acess and before installing make sure to select your path in the preferences (probably external HD in your case, it will overwrite the current data but if you don't have Komplete it should be fast)

Yes, you are missing something. The browser previews are not the same thing as the libraries themselves. The previews allow you to audition instrument presets in the browser without having to load them. They are short audio files of the factory instruments and this has to be installed for the new instrument previews to work. Check your email and spam for a serial for the preview library. Enter the serial in Native Access and you should get a new "Previews" product to install.

Have you actually tried loading maschine and checking if it see's your libraries? I doubt it.

Nah, I believe I need to redirect all the libs in each app. Was just trying to get that preview thing working first. Just was wondering if there was an easier way to manage the libs.

Actually there is an easier way to redirect libraries on MAC. I work on two computers so I keep my stuff on external drive. I’m not at my computers now so will give you detailed instructions later.
I used the solution from How and Why to Move Your Logic Pro X Sound Libraries to an External Drive but it will work for every content. Just used symbolic link instead of aliases. Can help you but I’m out for a weekend so I’ll get back as soon as I can.

You can direct Kontakt to its libraries, which is the huge portion of the installation, everything else you need to install normally or you will run into issues.
Using symlinks is a good idea, never thought of that.
But that's for libraries, all the apps/vsts that read libraries need to be installed normally.

Yes, I have apps/vats installed on both computers. So need to update them manually.

Well previously I had all my libs for maschine, Komplete on my thunderbay 4 drives, I just install the apps via native access, but the libs are not showing up even if I try to redirect them. I downloaded maschine 2 lib just to test and maschine two lib showed up under factory content. I deleted the lib on my internal drive then redirected to my external drive, no dice. Such a pain in the arse.

Read this, and click the link. You need to open Kontakt and Import each library, after that Maschine and Native Access will recognize them.

Kontact is fine, I'm just working with the maschine 2 factory Lib right now, the maschine factory lib doesn't show up, so I had to redownload it, even though I already have it on my external. Just so it would show up under pref Lib within machine. Then From there I tried to redirect it to external and says location already exists. Just a pain that's all.

The Maschine library is not supposed to be redirectable, its a factory library, you are over complicating this expecting a fresh OS install to know about your external HD library. It cant show up in the library if the system files that NA and Maschine read that informs them where the library is are not there...

Does Maschine Library show as "Installed" In native access?

Yeah, I figured I could just scan my external drive and have maschine auto populate its factory lib. As there is no way to redirect factory libs internally. But it seems I still need to download and install factory libs for maschine to know where to link the factory libs to. Even though I technically already have all content installed. Same would be for expansion packs I'd asume. I did go into preferences within native access and redirected content to my external NI directory, so maybe it will just overwrite what I already have. Just seems silly that Inhave to redownlaod everything all over again.

I'll try to explain again more clearly. It's not about having the content there in your external HD, its about NI-Software knowing it is there and "how" it knows.

No, you didn't, when you set the path in preferences you just tell NA where new things will be installed, it doesn't use the path to search if any content is already there, that's the point you keep missing. So yes, it will redownload everything...

Expansions, apps and even the Maschine library are not even worth the effort of using tricks to avoid re-downloads, they are not that big.

However, for people that have Komplete the big heavy downloads -> Kontakt Instruments like: Scarbee M Bass, Vintage Keys, Vintage organs, The Maverick, The Grandeur, The Gentleman, Abbey Road Drum series, all the Orchestral Instruments and many many others don't need to be re-installed/redownloaded, you can just use Kontakt to import their libraries like I said above, and its own 20GB library too.

I get it, some libs need to be downloaded in order for the apps to recognize the lib since I cannot redirect. Maschines factory lib for example. Kontact libs can be imported.
