    Hi all,

I was wondering, if I make a preset myself, where do they get saved? I've been hearing some things about a .plist file or something. And in my documents on mac, I see a defaultprogramLst.pls file in an FM8 folder. Is this where they would be? Would that mean that all factory an homemade presets are stored in the same file? And if so, if I accidentaly delete a factory preset, is there a way to get only the factory presets back?

Does this preset scheme extend itself to all of NI's products? Any help would be appreciated!

    Kind regards!

    Ruoma

On a Mac, the user location is

    /username/Documents/
    Native Instruments/Shared Content/Sounds/FM8

    The factory location's

    Mac HD/Library/Application Support/
    Native Instruments/Shared Content/Sounds/FM7
    and
    Mac HD/Library/Application Support/
    Native Instruments/Shared Content/Sounds/FM8

The preset scheme's the same for any NI app that uses .ksd as their preset format.

    Thanks!

    So what's "/username/Documents/
    Native Instruments/FM8/DefaultProgramLst.pls" for then?

It's a program list. Pages 108 and 109 in the manual explain program lists.
