Your top Kore soundpacks, and recording in Kore 2

I noticed by the little speaker icon on the kore 2 controller is a record button (maybe). Is their a way to record midi inside of Kore? Im trying to find recording in the manual. I don't see anything... Maybe I overlooked it.

Secondly, do you guys have any recommendations for a kore 2 soundpacks. Maybe your top 3. All I have now is North India, and the vol.2 compilation (free). I do R&B/POP/Dancehall music.

There's no MIDI (or audio) recorder built in. For MIDI, the best thing to do (if you also have Reaktor) IMO is to use the SQP variant that Jonathan has in his toolpack.

As far as soundpacks go, I'm the wrong person to ask- I like all of them.

Got 57 organ, Transient attacks, Sax & Brass - all very good.

 

I use Urban Arsonal 1 & 2 and The Finger a lot.

 

My top 3 would be no use for your needs then. I'm into industrial, atmospheric stuff.

You should probably check out Transient attacks, maybe urban arsenals, or some of the "best of...".

 

Only got Urban Arsenal 2 but heartily recommend it, it's awesome.

 

I WANT to get the Sax and Brass, but isn't it from the Kontakt 3 library? I will soon be getting Kontakt 4, isn't the Sax and Brass included with that?

I don't want to buy it twice.

As for that, I have no other soundpacks as of yet.

The instruments are from the K3 library; true. However, the big band patches and the arrangement patches aren't.
