Hello to all, I'm a person who always played on vinyl now wants to try smth new so I would like to buy the Traktor Z1 and X1 controllers and my question is about the next.
I'm on mac os 10.15 Catalina so I know about some compibility problems with old traktor controllers https://support.native-instruments....ompatibility-with-Native-Instruments-Products

I want to buy pre-used Z1 controller so as X1 later but I'm not sure that thay can work with mac os 10.15. I neet to precise if Z1 and X1 have generations (like MK 1-2-3 etc.) or the are produced without changes from the time they appeared. If yes, are old generations controllers compatible with mac os 10.15 Catalina or not?

    Z1 only had one release.

X1 has MK1 and MK2. The MK2 has the touch strip. You want the touch strip MK2. Else you cannot nudge/push the track along.

I came from vinyl straight to the the Z1/X1 and am very happy playing at home. I have never been happy with CDJs style jog wheels and never used CDJs so the X1 were excellent.

My gripe is the software Traktor Pro 2, which I think is unstable: I never know what trick it will play on me next.

I've been using a pair or 12s since 1989 and then X1mk2/Z1 since 2016 for fun. I still depend on the 12s, and I am very hesitant to play out on any computer: Recipe for disaster for me so far to date. But this might be related to eyesight and old age and foggy brain.
