Z1 + Traktor Kontrol Bag

Just to make sure, is the Z1 compatible with the Traktor Kontrol Bag?

 

I'm gonna say, I imagine so. The dimensions are the same as the X1/F1 so I would hesitantly say yes. This is not definitive answer but I ask.

Got the Z1 and e Kontrol bag..

The Z1 is compatible, but you can not use the HP-out.
The Audio-out and USB plugs will lift the controller a little bit out of the bag, no problem. But the HP-out also lifts the controller out of the bag and that makes it 'wiggly'.

 

it will fit...BUT

theres no room for the PSU

 

I also got my bundle yesterday, and it's perfect for the headphones i'm using, no "wiggly" fit!

 

It depends on how you use the inside unit of the bag.
When you put the inside compartment upside down, it will probably just be high enough to get the HP-plug just above the rim of the main compartment.

When you put the inside compartment not upside down, it won't fit.

That's exactly how I use mine with my X1.

 

i brought the kontrol bag today for my f1 but the z1+psu will not allow the lit to fasten

 

Carry the power supply separately?

The Traktor Kontrol bag simply was not designed for the Z1 in mind.

Maybe NI will come out with a new Z1 bag/case that fits the power supply.

Although, I'm with Keiran in this. I carry my PSU's / iPod & cables and few other bits an pieces in a air-lock box (the kind you put sandwiches in) in fact I have got quite a collection of these bloody boxes, all different sizes and shapes. They make great protective cases for your kit. The Kontrol case is to protect the kontroller only in my setups.

The problem I see with a longer case is that it won't fit many DJ bags. The case for my K2 does not fit in my UDG Kontrol Courier Bag and it only just about fits in my Vestax DJ backpack.

it doesn't need to be longer, only about an inch deeper, i see your point but one question we should be asking, surely a dj bag is no longer restricted to the shape of vinyl, isnt that the point now

 

but then it would be the wrong height?
