Z2 Catalina Support

Hi guys,

Got a small question. Thinking of buying a Z2 atm. Are these problems with mac software common or is this just a one time thing?

 

Well if you ask me, i had no issues wit Z2 + iOs, ’Till Catalina came out.
So i downgraded Catalina to Mojave and the Problem was solved.

 

Hopefully just a one-time thing since apple are transitioning from iokit to driverkit. Catalina is the stepping-stone for that.

 

Thanks! I'll wait for the confirmation of the compatibility from native instruments then. Looking forward to own a Z2

O novo macOS 10.15.4-beta-3 parece funcionar sem problemas com o Z2, por isso esperamos que seja resolvido oficialmente em breve.

Ajudar no que? Windows7 não é suportado, uma coisa é adicionar supporte a sistemas operativos novos, a sistemas de 2009 é outra.
Mas há muita gente por ai com uma Z2 e windows7 a funcionar pelos vistos, abre o teu proprio tópico pois este é para Mac e não tem nada a ver com o teu problema. Se precisares de tradução eu posso tentar ajudar mas sem descreveres o teu problema ninguém te vai conseguir ajudar.

PS. Podes editar um post, não precisas de apagar e criar outro.

Please let me know if any more details are helpful. It was working well before Catalina and now with the Beta of 10.15.4 at least the mixer is working again, but really miss the DVS function. Also tried connecting a windows laptop of a friend and it works like a charm (including DVS). so the Z2 is working, just not with my mac anymore.

Okay, that makes the issue probably harder to find for me. I am on Beta 6 now and DVS still does not work. Posted some screens above.

 

I'm on beta#6 too now. Is the Z2 audio device being recognised in Audio/Midi setup (applications/utilities)? Here's my T3 settings for you to compare:

I just downloaded Catalina 10.15.4. The Crossfader and the volume is working with the Z2.
But DVS is not working. How do I make it work? what are the correct settings?

Have you set the audio controller to phono

 

Yep, I can play Music just not with DVS. Is DVS working on your setup?

have a look at my tips above... I am running 10.15.4. check that the Z2 is recognised in audio/midi setup (obviously is if it is playing music), and compare the T3 settings I posted (which you have already done). Also check the settings of the Z2 by pressing the cog on the Z2. read the Z2 manual to navigate the Z2 settings properly as the messages are a bit cryptic on the 8-segment LEDs.

a silly question but has to be asked: plugged the turntables into phono, switch on phono?
