Z2 Catalina Support

I have exactly the same issue as Senrie. Now also not using the Beta anymore, but the 10.15.4 release. Settings are the same as in your screenshots. Music is playing when triggered in the software but not through DVS. The calibration circle as shown in my screenshot above stays empty(no change between playing the timecode vinyl or not). So no signal detected at all.

Also when connected to a PC the same setup is working fine. Any ideas?

 

Head to Security & Privacy and allow Traktor to access your microphone, that should work.

Yes!!!!! That did the trick! Now my Z2 is working fine with Catalina including DVS! Thanks!

This due to the new security settings in Catalina. NI: Not sure if you mention that anywhere already, but if not, please do. So that others don't fall in the same trap...

My Z2 is working again on Catalina (10.15.4). All functions are back and flawless. Hope it doesn't screw back again on future updates. It's been months for this problem to be fixed, a bit of surreal...

 

Yes indeed. I'd like to see that when NI update Traktor to driverkit prior to 10.16 coming out later this year, they also do an update to the Z2 firmware so that it can be used as an [audio card + midi] device just in case the USB HID layer screws up again. Shouldn't be much more different to how the Audio8DJ functioned (just that the midi device is on the Z2 surface instead of external).

 

I have waited for the Catalina update to be released before getting back into my Traktor with my Z2. Now for some reason I am not able to install the traktor software for my z2. I am getting the same 'Failed' message every time . Can anyone tell me what might be the problem here?

 

Traktor Pro 2 is not compatible with Catalina, see https://support.native-instruments....ompatibility-with-Native-Instruments-Products.

You'll need to buy Traktor Pro 3.

 

Finally, my Z2 is also working after the Mac OS 10.15.4 update. It's been such a long wait.

I ran into this problem over the weekend, but unlike the screenshot, at no point did Mojave tell me Traktor was trying to access the microphone...but that was the problem.

 

And the 10.15.5 beta is out... Hope nothing gets broke...

Installed MacOS 10.15.4 suplemental update and everything still works fine.

 

Get in, back up and running, everything working perfectly

 

Is this true? We have to buy a Traktor 3 upgrade now if we want the Z2 to play timecode vinyls?

 

using a Mac 1210"s and a Z2, works perfectly again since the latest upgrade

I can´t get back to any update on my support case ticket (#2216353).
I have followed instructions and paid a usd90 fee to get an RMA but since then I don´t get any replies.
I hope anyone on the support side can read this post and help me further.
