hello everybody (sounds like dr.nick from the simpsons :) but anyway) so I was wondering what the difference is between the 2 of them...i'm thinking of buying a z1 but that's besides the point...if I had either I would not need anything like the audio2 or 6 right? thanks for any info good ppl.

Two very different bits of kit.

The Z1 is an entry level audio interface and MIDI controller with a mixer layout. Only two audio outputs to allow for a main and headphone output.

The Z2 is a complete mixer and audio interface in one that supports timecode vinyl and has dedicated buttons to give access to Traktor functions without needing an extra controller like the X1.

The Z1 is a standalone mixer that works without a PC and is more aligned with professional user requirements. The Z1 needs other controls like the X1 to give full access to Traktor and only has limited audio output capability and no inputs.

hi tmccoy, thanks for your reply :) so with the z2 I could control the fx functions and other things also? I'm in not really ready for either I just like having an understanding of how equipment works so if opportunity arises I work with these things...I guess I should check out NI website and compare them.

Sorry to bother You! I wanted to know if I can replace Z1, X1, and F1 with a Z2 and if it requires external power supply and, like Z1, has lightning cable!
    Thank You very much!
