Z2 with Ableton (audio interface)

Hey all,

Contemplating picking up a Z2 since they look awesome and it seems to cover multiple needs of mine
- Using it with traktor
- using the phono inputs to play vinyl records without using a computer
- audio interface abilities with computer

Wondering if anyone has had any luck using the Z2 as an audio interface with Ableton or logic etc.
I use Ableton a lot with somewhat heavy loads, multiple VSTs running and chaotic sessions haha. Just wondering if the interface can handle the workload without any buffer issues etc. Currently using the Komplete Audio 6 interface (old one, not the new one that just got released) and its still running fine after 7 years, but just looking to get an all in one mixer/interface etc...

 

I use the Z2, and Ableton. never had an issue with the combo. go for it.


If you record cuts:
As you have an interface already, Maybe hold onto it for future rig ideas.
I have a Scarlett 2i2. My Z2 output goes into one channel and my maschine mk3 goes into the other.. If you are recording turntables Its a much easier solution if you wish to have have ur cuts recorded to be processed in Ableton. as being a mixer, the Z2 mixes.. ya know?
