I am buying two CDJs (Pioneer 350) and was wondering if the Z2 would be a nice mixer fit for these or should I stick to a pioneer mixer like the DJM-350?

Any advice would be great. I am looking for the option of having the mixer maybe hooked up to traktor and also want to use it not hooked up to Traktor. Thanks so much!

I just dunno if it's a nice fit. Thanks.

I am currently playing on an S2 and I love it but I also need to keep using CDJs because of the clubs. Buying the 350s for practice pieces.

Can someone tell which CDJs even work in Traktor?
The internet is full of conflicting information.

The CDJ-350's will work with timecode CD's. If it were me though, I wouldn't buy the 350's. If you are buying new, get the CDJ-850's... even though they don't have HID support for Traktor yet, they will very soon. If you can't afford new, then pick up a pair of used CDJ-400's.

If I went with Pioneer's 850 which mixer would I buy.
Would the Z2 be a great setup or DJM T1?

    Or totally something else?

I do think your right- The 850 is a better resale buy in the long run.

Or, if you have the money now (auction's about to end), get some CDJ-900's. They are already Advanced HID compliant, and you could just plug the (2) of them into the USB Hub on the Z2, and minimize your cabling.

I am not affiliated w' that auction in any way....just thought I'd point you in the right direction ;)

I went to a store and checked out different units and 850 is what I can afford.
The 350- really is misleading . I thought the platter was metal on the sides but it is a cheap plastic. Did not like the feel at all.

The 850 is a nice player for the money. Keep in mind there is always room for negotiation. The 350 is truly a "budget" player... the 400 is actually a much better alternative to the 350 for half the price.

Like I said before, even though the 850 doesn't have HID support yet... it likely will in the next release of Traktor (at least everyone hopes). But in the meantime, it will work just fine with timecode CD's.

Picking up a pair myself (the black version to match my Z2) next month with some of my holiday bonus.

I actually took the 850 back. I decided to wait. I don't even have CDs anymore and would just be using a USB stick all the time which is fine for me taking my music to the clubs but for at home it did not make sense.
Plus the integration with traktor can be IMPROVED. I think the next line of CDJs are going to shaped like a CDJ and feel like handling one but ultimately will not have the CD slot and integrated with USB 3.0 or even contain a SSD inside to load music onto.
Plus I have a feeling Pioneer and NI have something up there sleeves for the future.

If i had the money I would definitely go for the 900 or higher. Just think I will wait for more products to be released.
