I have installed Nostalgia and RA Rare on a fresh Vista 64 installation and cannot activate them with NI Service Center. Once I start service center, it says they have to be activated, then I activate and it says "they are activated now".

Then I start one of them and they say: "your system configuration was changed. Please use the registration tool in the application folder to register ...". At the next start, they say that they have not been registered, and Service Center shows them unregistered.

When I open the registration tool which comes with this software, it shows a system ID which differs in ONE digit from the one reported by the Service Center (under "Product details"), so if I copy the activation key from Service Center, the registration process in the product's registration tool fails.

This simply means that the product and Service Center handle the system ID formation in different ways, so they won't interact correctly. I tried to re-install, but this does not solve it. Akoustik Piano and Elektrik Piano activate without problems.

On my former OS (I have used XP x64 on the same hardware) this worked without problems.

    I would:

    1) Manually download the latest version of Service Center from the NI site and see if that fixes things, then, if not,

    2) Call NI on the phone. Registration problems can't really effectively be handled through the forum since they involve your personal details. NI is pretty quick on the phone about getting these things sorted out.

    Thanks.

    1) Done.

    2) I have filled out the standard formular along with the system ID and sent to NI.

Do you really mean "System ID" or do you mean "Activation file"? The latter is what you need to send NI and it can be produced via Service Center.
