Zoom Lock in sample edit mode on controller

Sample edit mode view window position lock when zoomed in​

I would like to see this feature implemented in the sample edit mode. When I slice up samples and zoom in really far to set the end point I would like a feature to lock the current view (level of zoom in this case). As it is now, every time Im zoomed way in and then go to trigger the slice to make sure that its a good end point it jumps to the start point instead of staying on the end point where I am currently working.

If this feature is in there then forgive me for being a noob, but I just got my Studio 2 weeks ago. I also posted in general forum to find out first and it seems like this feature is not available.

For clarification i think you are suggesting the ability to optionally lock the location of the view window, not the zoom amount ..as the zoom amount iirc does stay constant.. Such that rather than the view window following the play cursor, it sits where it is until the play cursor comes.?

 

Correct. The zoom level does stay static. Thanks Mystic38 for the clarification on that! I guess I labled it this way as the only time this feature would be needed is during zoom, but yes, ultimately it should be a view window lock while zoomed in. Im new to the forums and just got my Maschine Studio apx. 2 weels ago. Ill have to see if I can update the title to reflect that. Something like "Sample edit mode view window position lock when zoomed in" would be more suitable, I think. For now ill edit that into the first post.
