Reaktor 5 or lower

DESCRIPTION

Le Truc uses a new concept of synthesis.

The generators just uses FM and resonator with 1 editable patch per key (like memory drum). But the newest thing is the way you program
the sounds.

The implementation of bubuControl deluxe technology will let you explore \"random assisted synthesis\" : You tell the rules, and Le Truc build the patches.

You can edit patches using the classic way. Le Truc stores up to 127 presets of 127 patches. You can morph between the current preset and the next one (each key will morph to the next one)

The goal was not to build another 808 or 909 drum generator but to explore FM / resonator synthesis with the help of controlled random.
Some sounds can be amazing, but you must sometimes randomize several times to get something interesting. Don\'t forget that you can edit the newly created sound to fit your needs.

A tutorial is available on the synth panel (just click the logo), and every knob and macros are documented using the help popup.

Included in the bundle, Marcel is a simple drum pattern generator. Don\'t waste time with the knobs, just use the randomization function of Reaktor snapshot panel.

Fell free to set the sample rate to 44.1 if your CPU can handle it.

You can very easily switch off the Rev-6 unit, change the external effect to explore new sounds.

Special thanks to ernest meyer for the voiceDetect and AGC limiter macros from the leviathan lib.

I hope you\'ll enjoy this new bubuToy.

Feedback and comments are welcome !

I like it. Very good at generating little rhythms with an abstract feel to them, sporadically. Very nice work.

This is my favourite reaktor ensemble. The Sounds it creates are just so usable yet unusual. FANTASTIC!

Laurent, i really love this. i have been combing the user lib for sequencers than have an 'organic' feel [this is very hard to define, of course!], and yours is the first i have found that successfully straddles the line between the gritty & textured land of organic sound and the smooth & sharp planes of the mechanistic. i also love the way that one can readily randomize any of the 3 panels individually of one-another; i find myself rustrated when this is not possible in an ensemble. i will be using Le Truc a lot, and wanted to encourage you! :) -aqaraza

Bravo encore, Laurent. And here I thought I was going to miss my bubuscratch and other vst plugs in OS X. But if this is the direction in which you're going... I'm very, very happy! Thanks for sharing with us. Keep doing the crazy bubu things that you do! ;-)

I don't know why, but 1.4 sounds better than 1.5 on my G4??? (by the way, 1.5 is in the users forum)

LeTruc Is completely Brilliant! Somehow the timbres, though "merely" FM, sound really organic and fresh. (Almost like something Lazyfish would come up with...but don't let that go to your head...) Interface is great and intuitive, help panel really handy and well done. Awesome work Bubu! 1.4 appears to work fine on my G4. Now where can I find 1.5?

updated to 1.4 fixed : the envelops attacks work now properly. You can Change the polyphony to 16 and the sample rate to 44.1 - if your cpu can handle it (my iMac 500 MHz is a bit lazy...)

Updated to 1.3 : Fixed : (1) now the LFO rate is exponential (more musical results), (2) replaced ED env with AR env (R4 altivec bug) Now, it should work for every one (I really hope so...) I found the bug (damned). It seems that AD envelops do not work with reaktor 4.02.002 altivec. I replaced them by AR envelops, and 1.3 works under MacOS9 when 1.2 made no sound. The strangest thing is that this bug affects only G4 (altivec?). The happiest thing is that Le truc should now work properly with all computers. Let me know !... bubu°

I tried patching the constant, amongst other things, and still no sound. We need a heavyweight Reaktor programmer to help us out here! ....(patiently waiting while using other wicked ensembles, but still wanting to try out this nifty looking machine)

Hi Laurent, for what its worth,I'm on OS9 and unfortunately Le Truc still aint happening over here, downloaded the gif. from the forum and it looks the same as the 1.1 version.Sorry I cant be any more help. I'll say it again though, this thing looks great!!

updated to 1.1 Minor bug fixes : . the resonator envelop is now velocity sensitive . the AGC buttons were inverted, was off when enabled, oops !.. . simplified the Envelops. I hope It will now work correctly under osX MacOs X users, please have a look at my post in the user forum. Thanks for feedback :-) bubu° (from bubuland)

Absolutely fantastic. This is one of the coolest ensembles I've played with. Not only does it sound great, but the UI is really original and innovative. And hats off for the handy explanation included. Great work.

if you disconnect the out from the a/d env module in the env section it will work, the reason for this is that the gate input into the module is always 0

May be can you try to switch on/off the 2 "agc" buttons. May be a problem with the audio relay or the button default values... Sorry if it doesn't work with MacOsX, happy if it works with windows. It should work under os 9 , and I guess there's a bug from osX version of reaktor. Thanks for the feedback :-)

there seems to be an issue with the envelope on the mac... if i bypass the env macro it makes some sounds

Looks cool, but doesn't work on my mac (R4.02 X10.2.6). Wish i was experienced enough to debug it myself :o)
