Recordable XY faders with IC sends to jazz up boring instruments
I've noticed some builders starting to use the recordable faders I debuted in my Dubby Red Planet Zobel remix instrument, so here they are pulled out into a separate instrument that can be used to add some instant life and motion to any boring old synth or drum machine.
Use the IC sends on panel B of the Freshmaker to assign the fader XY controls to the controls of another instrument. The result? Flavor crystals create a mint sensation! Instant renovation of those tired old presets! Watch those stains fade before your eyes! Offer void where prohibited.
Update 1.3: turned off incremental mouse mode on the faders because I found it annoying. Now the recorded gesture starts wherever you click on the surface.
Update 1.4: added CC out macro by Matthew Todman - thanks Matthew - and thanks to Donovan Stringer for suggesting the addition in the first place.
Update 1.5 - added step filters to tame the event rate. This shouldn't make things any "steppier" - the resolution of the faders is 256 values so I used a 1/256 stepsize for internal Reaktor connections. MIDI resolution is 128 values so I used a correspondingly larger step size there.
1.6 update: added bonus X and Y faders for manipulating values with different sequence lengths.
1.8 update: I noticed I miswired an order module in the fader memory, causing the values to jump on start. This will fix it and make the parameter modulation more reliable.
