DESCRIPTION

This new version features a convolution section in the early reflections part.
The key stone of this processor is the feedback path between pre-delay, redesigned delay/chorus/flanger, early reflections/convolution, and the late reverberation.
The used impulse response is a "rich Amsterdam room". Do not hesitate to load your own IR. The full description is accessible in the info of the Early / IR knob.

If the convolution isn't used, just mute the convolution engines (1536 convol) located in the Early+convol macro. This will save a huge amount of CPU. The table which hosts the impulse response (1536 samples) is located in the "1536 convol" macro.

Thanks Paule for this feedback. I've just uploaded a 2.3 version. The modulation oscillator is now triangle/sinus based. Do not hesitate to completely remove the convolution section if your CPU can't stand it. Most FX presets don't use it at all ;)

On snap 026 Space is a heavy click. Modulation said tri 0*/0*: but inside is instead of a tri osc a saw osc. If you change it to tri there is a zero click and all is fine. The cpu usage is very heavy. On 44100 always overflows. Set my new version on SR 33075.

19 February 2017 I've just corrected a terrible clicking problem on the delay modulation. All is OK now for the best TimeToy around. Enjoy ;-))

February 2 2017 Now the random action only modifies the early reflection settings. The delay duration source (tempo or manual) is no more affected. The UI colours have been slightly reworked.

"Viva la Convolution" proposes a more efficient implementation based on FFT. But it introduces a serious amount of latency which isn't acceptable in the TimeToy topology. Maybe reducing by 512 sample the convolution can solve most CPU issues. Of cource a 1024 IR must be used then.

it's great to see convolution getting some love in reaktor! sadly i can't use this much as it's too cpu hungry but really looking forward to a more efficient version down the road

The convolution implementation is brute force based, so there's no FFT latency.

Please not also that a CPU greater than 100% will crash any Reaktor version superior to 5.1.5. I will only upgrade to version 6 when this problem will be solved for VST support at least.

Reaktor seems to be only single core, single thread. This ensemble is at the very limit of my old Intel Core 2 duo T6570 @2.1 GHz computer.

The current convolution engine only supports 1536 samples IR. But it can be easily edited by 512 samples increment if required. This implementation of convolution is a CPU ogre. Do not expect using a 6 seconds IR. Maybe people from NI have a better implementation ?
