DESCRIPTION

*1.2 Nov 29th* Fixed pulse divider input placement and added graphic for 2nd pulse divider.
*UPDATE* - R5 version and some of the resources used to make this included.
3 Panels of emulated Serge. I have no access to any serge hardware and relied on reference material found online so I don't really know how close any of this is to the real thing. I'm not gonna lie, this thing requires some work to get anything useful out of it. I hope you get as much enjoyment out of using this as I did building it. I cannot remember who made the switches as the vast majority of this was made some time ago, sorry. Let me know if anything is broken or wrong. The snapshots are terrible ;)

looking forward to this. I'm a giant weedwacker fan. I have a question for you Barry, if you're amenable. Can't find a PM thing here. Any chance you could drop me a line? pete@ghimusic.com

Just downloaded this, haven't played it yet but seeing the graphic made me want to retrieve my 7-panel Serge system from storage and re-live my college days (1980). I did a few live performances with it. Any quantizers in your next version??

Hi Barry, thanks for the reply. Would it be possible to upload a version with an INIT Snapshot and maybe a few others. The reason I ask for this is that I actually had a crash with the R6 version and it would be good to just have a handful of working Snapshots.

Phil, sorry I should have just deleted the snapshots as they were only used during development to test functionality.

Slightly confused with this as some Snapshots seem to result in no sound at all. In terms of exploring this, Barry could you provide some info as to which Snapshots to try. I am presuming that pressing a MIDI Note should result in something, but clearly there are also Snapshots where a sound just starts when switching to them.

Thanks for your comments Christian. There is actually two pulse dividers in there so I fixed the input placement and added the graphic for the second pulse divider.

Barry, this is a really impressive achievement. I'm sitting here feeling daunted and intimidated - which is probably just how I'd feel in front of a real Serge. Truly a labor of love. Also, thanks for providing all the great original documentation. @Andreas, each INPUT jack has a pull down menu. You use that to select where you want the input to come from. In cable terms, you select at an INPUT what output you want to connect that "cable" to. Each output you see on the panel is real - they're all represented on pull down menus at inputs. Barry, the only issue I've noticed so far is that the clock divider input jack doesn't seem to have a pull down menu, am I missing something? Thanks again - the module looks great, can make a huge range of beastly sounds, and accomplishes exactly what you set out to do. Very impressive. Thanks!

@Lars *UPDATE* - R5 version and some of the resources used to make this added. @John - inscrutable is definitely something this is. I understand Serge users call this "functional density".

Wow, this thing is almost totally inscrutable! I feel like regardless of whether you've recreated the sound of a Serge I think you've recreated the experience i.e. it's hard to use :-D

Thanks Barry.

Lars, I can do that for you in the next day or so.

This is saved with Reaktor 6 and not Reaktor 5 or lower as set in the info. It need Reaktor 6 to be opened. A version for Reaktor 5 or lower would be nice.
