DESCRIPTION

The LFO Clk acts as main clock source for the patch, every time it passes into the positive portion of its cycle, it triggers a new sample event at the first S&H module. The 'In/Noise' parameter of the S&H is at its maximum setting, making the module function as a triggered random value source. Values from the S&H are sent into the Quantizer and wrapped to a scale. The 'Level' parameter sets the range of notes, while the 'Offset' shifts notes up or down within the defined scale. Both the value and gate outputs from the Quantizer are patched into a second S&H, which is being used to add a small amount of slew between new notes. The resulting signal is patched to the two Bento Oscillators. The Oscillators are tuned one fifth apart, and have been patched together for TZFM. The 'FM' index of Oscillator 2 is being modulated by an LFO, the 'Frequency' of which is being modulated by the first S&H module so that higher notes result in faster modulation. The output of Oscillator 1 is patched into a CVP and the output of Oscillator 2 is being used to modulate the 'Level' control, resulting in audio rate amplitude modulation. The outputs from the CVP and the two oscillators are mixed in relative mode to avoid clipping, and then passed on to a VCA. The VCA 'Level' control is being controlled by the ADSR envelope, which is being triggered from the main LFO clock source. Finally the output from the VCA is patched into the Rounds Delay and Reverb Blocks. The main clock LFO is patched to the gate input of the Delay, allowing it to sync to the rest of the patch.

Some quick tweaks to try:

Adjusting the Frequency of the Clock LFO will change the overall speed of the patch.
Increasing the 'Level' control of the Quantizer will result in a larger range of notes, Changing the 'Offset' control will move the randomly generated sequence up and down the scale.
Changing the 'Slew' parameter of the second S&H module will adjust the glide duration between new notes.
Turning up the 'FM' knob of Oscillator 1 will introduce cross modulation.
The Linear/Exponential button on the CVP will switch between two different sounding AM effects.
The 'Slew' parameter on the CVP behaves like a simple LP filter on the AM signal. Increasing slew duration softens the sound.
Changing the channel levels and polarities on the mixer results in lots of subtle changes in timbre.
