Reaktor 6
Blocks Patches

DESCRIPTION

a self contained patch ,just hit play in your daw (or change it to internal clock) with a regular 4/4 kick beat and some hihats
2 oscillators provide the melody and the randomness is produced by Music Thinking Machines awesome Turing machine blocks. the snare is synced to whatever the melody is doing.
(you can fade in or mute the drums using the drum mix block, 1 is the kick, 2 is snare and 3 is hats)

the idea is to use a combination of the quantizer and PROB knob on the turing machine to generate some cool little acid riffs.

basically the idea of the Turing machine is twiddle the probability knob till you hear something you like, then turn it full to lock in the melody.
(i would recommend reading the info panes of the turing machine modules because there's a lot more to them than what I just described)

a BIG thanks to music thinking machines for recreating the turing machine modules in Reaktor.

the example sound is just a straight recording in ableton with no editing or arrangement.(just noodling :)

EDIT:1.2 i had connected a few of the outputs from turing to pulses wrong which has been corrected.
