DESCRIPTION

Atmo-Bell is a synthesizer for percussive sounds. It can create very realistic bell and percussion sounds as well as interesting bass sounds. It uses 2-operator FM sythesis with an amplitude-controlled low-pass filter and optional LFO and reverb. Especially without reverb it will be very low on the CPU.
As the synth has rather few controls you can quickly learn how to modify its sounds.

Please note that this synth was optimized for bell, metal, and wood percussion sounds. Therefore some controls were combined to allow quick edits of these sounds (e.g. only one value for release and decay). While this constricts somehow the sonic versatility of this synth, I think that this may occasionally be more useful than a CPU-heavy all-in-one ensemble with lots of parameters.

v1.1: Now starts in panel-view in Reaktor plug-in, too.

v1.2: Added some presets and the demo song. The demo was recorded with three instances of Atmo-Bell without any additional effects.

The bells are wonderful, but the low bass bellows are quite interesting, too.

Very good! Thankyou. I just can't get enough things that sound like Marimbas.

Oh, I forgot: More presets would be nice. But that's something I'd like to have for almost any ensemble offered here. Just did ten nice sounding ones for IcePad (hello rick :-), but unfortunately they were not saved... typical AU plug-in newbie error, I guess. Something else nice about this Atmo-Bell ensemble: if you switch off the reverb, it is really low on resources!

Sounds very nice. Prevented me from buying a couple of Glockenspiel/Marimba/Xylophon Samples for EXS24. Thanks.

i really like this! it's lovingly crafted and sounds very good. i especially like seeing what happens when you push the various controls to their extremes ... bell hell. ;-)
