Reaktor 5 or lower
Instrument Other

DESCRIPTION

Little 4 channel mixer with integrated 4 track stereo recorder/player. Pretty simple, but usefull for me - maybe for others too. Basically, I use Reaktor in stand-alone mode mostly, and improvise a lot. I was recording the output with Recorderbox, but when I thought that particular piece of the recording is good, I couldn't extract the individual instrument/track for further processing, everything was mixed down. This ensemble solves this issue - 4 instruments can be recorded to individual stereo WAV files.

This ensemble is based on a mixer by... I don't know who developed it (sorry!) and the 8ch Tape instrument, which is part of trans8x by Constantin Popp.

Very useful. I'd love to see this developed further, enabling you to overdub...

isnt it mad to think that not even 10 years ago you would have paid thru the nose for a 4 track cassette recorder, and now you can casually knock up a digital 4 track on your pc with reaktor (not suggesting you did this casually btw..!). cool idea - hows about making it like a 4 track and chucking in eq, waveform windows and auxs and stuff? nice!
