Reaktor 5 or lower
Instrument Sampler

DESCRIPTION

Version 1.3.1 Revision:
Fixed the lazyFish GrainDelay from the last upload (# of voices was set to 1, it needs to be 8), and cleaned up logo.

The perfect thing for Squarepusher-style beat destruction.

Beat-loop recycler with lot of options for rhythmic mangling. From simple loop-cutups to complete filter and delay effects. Intuitive yet powerful UI.

See included read-me file for more info. The read-me and the ensemble contains lots of commenting and instructions, but not a lot of snapshots (snapshots in something like this doesn't make much sense as you'll want to use your own loops).

Enjoy.

I played around with this the other day for the first time in ages and remembered how much I like it. Any chance of an update Chris? Maybe a more straightforward way of loading loops or being able to take audio input instead of pre-loading loops?

perhaps a bit too mangly and not straightforward enough very clever though

Great work! I love what this thing can do. Same question as 46. - is there a way to load my own loops?

Been using this for a while now. Really great ensemble for messing beats up with minimal difficulty. Love it.

You know that guy who shows up at the very end of the night to a party, wondering where everybody's gone and how come the party's died down already? Yeah... that's me right now. I'll pay my respects not because I'm going to be the first on the block to program drums with this thing, but because it was probably used on a several recordings I've listened to during the past five years. Nice work, definitely influential.

I seem to be having some issues getting my samples to match the proper tempo. Even one of the demo samples should be around 170, but the host tempo is set up at 153 to make it sound right. What's the dilly yo?

The "version problem" has to do with the way NI does the version numbers on the website. When you upload or revise an ensmble, you are not allowed to set the version number that shows with your ensemble here ont he NI site, the site does it via automatic incrementing. If I could set the version number that you see here on the website, I waould set it to "1.31" because that's the latest version! - Chris

Thanks MUCH, Chris List, for the explanations in the ensemble. There are many people here who appreciate those hints, and the other shouldn't be disturbed by them. Lovely mangling-machine! Like some others said, it's version 1.31, but it's great, so if you'd call it 7.83 it would stay great!. Thanks for uploading, I love to put my humble minidisk-samples into this.
